Blankenship and husband, Oakley; numerous nephews and nieces; three devoted friends, Cathy Chapman, Gus Vandergrift and Marvin Franck and wife, Pat; and special neighbors, Gloria and Stan Mooney. Funeral services will be at 12 noon Saturday, February 21, 2004 from Oakey's North Chapel. Pastor David Fraser will officiate. Interment will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Mann Jr., 67, of Amherst, died Aug. 17 at his home from natural causes. Born in Fireco, W. Va., he grew up in Raleigh County, W. Va., and graduated from Stoco High School in 1947. From 1978 to 1986, he owned and operated Mann's Meat Market in South Amherst. He also worked as a meat cutter for the Convenient Food Mart in Lorain. He was a member of Victory Baptist Temple in Elyria. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and helping others. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Emma J. [nee Porter]; sons, Gary R. of Elyria, Jeffrey A. of Oberlin, and Roy T. McDavid of Amherst; a daughter, Rhoda G. Linger of Lorain; nine grandchildren; a brother Terry A. Mann of Elyria; sisters, Dorothy Price and Carol Grahovac, both of Elyria, and Pat Treadway of Oberlin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey E. Sr. and Elsie J. [nee Terry]; a son, Dewey E. Mann III; and a granddaughter, Deanna McDavid. Burial was in the Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst. on August 27, 1997.4
