Burial will be at Hillcrest Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2003 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at other times will be at the residence. In 1938 she was married to James Sanford Adams, who died in 2002. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Doris D. Wilson and Janie D. Adams. Survivors include two daughters, Irene A. Stroud (Harry) of Mocksville, NC and Carolyn A. Gooch of Forest, VA; a sister, Rebecca D. McDaniel of Chatham; three grandchildren, Sandy Coulson (Myron), Frances Gooch Tankersley (James) and Henry H. Gooch,V; two great-grandchildren, Emily Coulson and Henry H. Gooch, VI and a step-great-grandson, Josh Tankersley. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from the Wrenn-Yeatts, North Main Chapel by the Reverend Gerald Reeves and Dr. Van Lankford. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Kentuck Baptist Church 1845 Kentuck Church Road Ringgold, VA 24586 or First Baptist Church 412 North Main Street Mocksville, NC 27208. on September 11, 2009.4

Crane, both of Dry Fork; one daughter, Pamela Crane Inge Norton, of Chatham; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and husbands, she was predeceased by three sisters, Janie D. Adams, Frances D. Adams and Doris D. Wilson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Oakland United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry F. Mann officiating. Burial will be at Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010, at Scott Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence, 538 Jefferson Drive, Chatham. Scott Funeral Home in Chatham is respectfully serving the McDaniel family.

A native of Pittsylvania County, Va., she was a daughter of Brady and Ethel Yates Simpson. She had lived in Ruffin most of her life. She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class, Sunshine Club and served on the Flower Committee. She is survived by one son, W.T. Evans Jr. of Ruffin; three daughters, Joan Smith, Vanessa Lee and Judy Evans, all of Ruffin; one brother, Aubrey Simpson of Ruffin; three sisters, Tiny Reagan and Loretta Cox, both of Reidsville and Shirley Smith of Pelham; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William T. Evans Sr., one daughter, Texie Alcorn, five brothers, Haywood Simpson, Maurice Simpson, Otis Simpson, Clyde Simpson and Raymond Simpson and one sister, Geraldine Reagan. The funeral will be held 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held Monday at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church and at other times will be at the residence. Citty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. on July 13, 2003.4
