Robert ("Bob") Arlie Mongold, 79, returned to his heavenly home on February 15, 2020, after a valiant battle with multiple health issues where he now rests in paradise. His loving, faithful devotion to the family and his firm belief in our Lord Jesus supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Bob was born to the late Other and Mary Mongold in West Virginia. He was raised in the Brethren Church. As a child he enjoyed little league baseball and, as an adult, he was involved in horse racing. Bob loved to do his daily walks for many years. Bob was blessed with a loving family, many friends and a loving church family. He was married to Sandra Widjaya, on November 21, 1981, in Concord, California. In 1990, they moved to Granite Bay, Placer County, California. They found and have been part of (then) First Presbyterian Church and (now) Centerpoint Community Church since 1990. God blessed Bob and Sandra with so many beloved years of memorable trips including Indonesia, Bali, the eastern and western U.S. Coasts and Alaska. The most recent, on his bucket list, was vacationing near Yellowstone National Park where he finally checked off seeing Old Faithful. Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra Widjaya Mongold, his children, Robert Jr. ("Bobby"), Robin, Cindy and Michael ("Mike"); his grandchildren, Rob III ("Robby"), Libby, C.J., Chad, Mabel, Anne and Hannah; and his sisters, Shelby Bensenhaver and Sue Renfrew.
