She died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at her home. She was born in Oak Hill, W. Va., a retired cashier from the U.S. Census Bureau and previously worked at I.C.I. America in Charlestown. She volunteered much of her life to charitable organizations, including the Empty Stocking Fund, the Community Kitchen and was later recognized by The Evening News as an outstanding citizen for all of her volunteer work. She was a very active member of the Clark County Democratic Party where she served as campaign manager for Jimmy Bottorff (past state representative) and Dean Marble. She was the past manager of Green Springs Mobile Home Park for 60 years and helped the residents any way possible to make their lives happy. She was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church, a charter member of one of the first 4-H clubs in America, a member of the Democratic Women's Club, a Kentucky Colonel, recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash Award and received the Special Deputy of Clark County Award from Michael L. Becher. She is survived by her daughter, Candy Wilson, of Jeffersonville; a brother, Sen. Shirley Love and his wife, Audrey, of Oak Hill, W.Va; a sister, Margaret Painter, of Oak Hill, W.Va; granddaughter, Kelli McFarland and her husband, Mac, of Jeffersonville; grandson, Todd Wilson and his wife, Rebecca, of Jeffersonville; great-grandson, Zachary Brown, of Jeffersonville; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family, Esther Henderson, of Jeffersonville, Lea Ann Kuehl and her husband, Richard, of Carbondale, Ill., and Carey Davis and her husband, Chris, of Jeffersonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Minnix; and her parents, Earl and Winona Love. on March 6, 2012.1 She died on March 6, 2012 at Jeffersonville, Clark Co., Indiana, at age 94.1,3
