     Raymond Eugene Pillow was buried at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.3 He was born on May 11, 1922 at Roanoke, Virginia.3 He married Ruby Edna Cupp, daughter of James Ballard "Jim" Cupp and Dora Mae Gearheart, on October 8, 1941 at Roanoke, Virginia.4,3,5 Raymond Eugene Pillow and Ruby Edna Cupp were divorced on September 15, 1947 at Roanoke, Virginia.4 Raymond Eugene Pillow died on April 16, 2019 at Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, at age 96.3 He Raymond E. Pillow, born May 11, 1922 in Roanoke, Va. to Willie Hunt Pillow and Madeline Evans Pillow, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in Baton Rouge, La. He was 96 and had suffered a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's disease. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Marine Corps on Guam, Tinian, and Saipan. He graduated Virginia Polytechnical Institute (now Virginia Tech University) on the GI Bill, and received his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. He went on to work for a time with the Virginia Department of Highways, and later, was General Manager of the Roanoke Water Works. "Doc" Witter and "Doc" Taylor were instrumental in his ultimate relocation to Baton Rouge in 1964, where he served as President and CEO of the Baton Rouge Water Works. He was also a member and past-president of the ASCE – America Society of Civil Engineers – Louisiana Chapter. During his early life, he was an avid deer and turkey hunter as well as fly fisherman, and, after moving to Louisiana, he started duck hunting. He also enjoyed waterskiing and was a private pilot. In later years, he loved to travel and play golf. Raymond has been an active member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church since 1964. He was also a member and past-president of the Louisiana Lion's Club. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruby Cupp Pillow Eunice; his second wife of 20 years, Eunice C. Pillow; his daughter, Jean C. Pillow Schwing; and by his siblings, Harvey, Buren, David, Juanita, and Martha. Raymond is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judge Rosemary Torbet Broussard Pillow; sons, Raymond V. Pillow, Steven E. Pillow, and Charles M. Pillow; stepsons, Allen Broussard and William Broussard; and sisters: Phyllis Wyatt and Helen Sink. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, Keith Pillow, Robin Pillow, Stephanie Pillow Kotkin, Valerie Pillow Christou, Alex Pillow, Erik Pillow, Natalie Pillow Philips, Charlotte Pillow, Evan Pillow, Will Broussard, and Lily Broussard; as well as three great-grandchildren: Roland Pillow, Ariel Paige Kotkin, and Cloe' Michelle Christou. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge. A memorial service and reception will be announced at a later date to be held at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. on April 20, 2019.3

He was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon and Russia Eunice; as well as nine siblings. Mr. Eunice served in the United States Coast Guard and was the former owner of Steve's Hotdogs on Brandon Avenue for many years where he treated all customers as dear friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruby Eunice; stepson, Ray Pillow and wife, Gayle; two stepgrandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of special friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011, one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at noon on Friday, June 3, 2011, at Oakey's South Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Phillips Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice. on June 3, 2011.10

Kinsey died on March 30, 2014 at Virginia at age 73.2 She Gayle L. Pillow, 73, of Salem, passed away on Sunday March 30, 2014. Gayle was a lifelong area resident. She was born in Roanoke to the late Hugh W. and Edith G. Kinsey. Gayle was a CPA and was a member of the Bearded Collie Club, she loved showing her dogs and caring for her puppies. She was a wonderful cook, her specialty was red eye gravy and biscuits. Gayle was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband of 51 years, Ray Pillow; sons, Keith Pillow, of Salem and Robin Pillow along with his wife Patty Heany, of Cleveland, Ohio; and grandson, Roland Pillow.
