Heath of Hinton and James H. Heath of Milford, VA; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. William (Kat) VanSant of Hinton, and Mrs. T. T. (Jenny) Lawrence of Annandale, VA; four nieces and four nephews, including; Richard Lawrence of Hinton and her caregiver and companion, Mrs. Barbara Siefried of Hinton. Graveside services and burial were held 2 p.m. Tues., Sept. 12th. at Restwood Memorial Gardens, Hinton, with Pastor William Thompson officiating. Arrangements by Ronald Meadoes Funeral Parlors, Hinton. on September 19, 2000.7

     Hazel Alva Seldomridge was buried at Greenbrier Burial Park, Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.6,7 She was born on December 27, 1909 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia; Her obituary has an impossible birth date of Dec 27, 1910.1,6 As of January 27, 1936,her married name was Bowers.4 She married Irvin Powell "Shag" Bowers on January 27, 1936 at Boone Co., West Virginia.4,8 Hazel Alva Seldomridge died on August 16, 1961 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 51.6 She Hinton - Mrs. Hazel Seldomridge, 50, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday in a Bluefield hospital after an illness of 16 months. Born Dec. 27, 1910, in Hinton, she was a daughter of Mrs. Newton D. Seldomridge and the late Newton D. Seldomridge. She lived most of her life in Hinton. She was employed at the state capitol in Charleston for several years. A graduate of Hinton High School of 1929, she was a member of the Hinton First Baptist Church. In addition to her mother survivors include a brother, Lawrence Seldomridge of St. Albans; and a sister, Lillian Seldomridge of Hinton. The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors with the Rev. H. U. Thompson and the Rev. E. W. Billings in charge. Burial will be in Greenbrier Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Clayton Buckland, George Gwinn Sr., Charles Berry, Howard Lego, Fred webb, Boyd Maddy, Clarence Nicely, Sam McLean, T. B. Youell, and Charles Boley. The body will remain at the funeral parlor. on August 18, 1961.6
