Pauline married Earl Saville in 1952 and they had a daughter, Sharon Roxanne Saville, and a son, Tracy Alan Saville. Sharon has a daughter, Jessica Lauren Parker. Tracy and his wife, Joyce Oyler, have a daughter and son, Alicia Catherine Saville and Christopher Alan Saville. These family members live in North Carolina. Pauline is remembered for her love of vegetable gardens, country cooking, Democratic Party ideals, and a pleasant speaking voice. She was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for many years. He was an active member of the Faith Alliance Christian Church for over 55 years where he was the second oldest member of the church. He worked as a welder for Semco until his retirement in 1985. He belonged to Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local #100 and the Masonic Lodge. He also drove a military bus during World War II, carrying soldiers to Camp Lee in Blackstone. He never met a stranger and teased and joked with everyone he knew. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lois Edwards Gearheart, brothers, Harry and Moyer Gearheart and sister, Inez Gearheart. Surviving are his daughter, Denise G. Aldridge and husband, James P. Aldridge of Roanoke; son, Michael H. Gearheart of Marietta, Ga; grandchildren, Timothy Mark Aldridge and wife, Julia, Arnie P. Aldridge and wife, Molly, Lisa Michelle Gunter and husband, Clayton, and Kristen Nicole Gearheart; great-grandchildren, Ethan Gunter, Ella Aldridge and Avery Gunter. Also surviving are his sister, Pauline B. Saville of Salem; sisters-in-law, Joann Robinson and husband, Harold of Roanoke, Lozelle Bandy and husband, George of Bonsack, and Geraldine Patsel of Roanoke along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank close friend, Virginia Meredith for all her help and companionship. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. David Fraser officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 989-3131. on August 12, 2006.3

Poff, died Wednesday St. Mary’s Hospital. She retired from Price’s Bakery, Huntington. Survivors include two sons, Marvin Poff of Chesapeake and John Poff of Proctorville; three daughters, Betty Edwards of Huntington, Talmadge McQuaid of Chesapeake and Bernice Ellis of Crown City; one sister, Margaret Ratcliff of Pearisburg, Va; and one brother, Stuard Atwell of Milwaukee, Wis. Graveside service 11 a.m. Friday at Rome Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements. on September 11, 1991.1

Born on December 14, 1921, at Tazewell, Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry Marion and Rosa Collins Patrick. She was retired from the Celanese Corporation after over 40 years of service. Ruth loved to do all kind of crafts and many of them adorned the Christmas Trees in her children's homes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kester Sherman Smith; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Blake Poff, and Marion Lee Poff and wife, Lois; three brothers, John, Joe and Henry Patrick; two sisters, Nan Johnson and Bessie Fox; and a grandson, Donald Lee Poff. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Steven Kester Smith and wife, Brenda, of Irmo, S.C., and John Michael Poff and wife, Lynn, of Charlotte, N.C; daughter-in- law, Jackie Poff, of Manassas, Va; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at the Broyles- Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Orchard Cemetery, Ballard, W.Va. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.      William Blake "Bill" Poff Sr. married Jacqueline Azwall Dowdy.1 William Blake "Bill" Poff Sr. was born on November 28, 1942 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.1 He died on March 12, 2000 at Falls Church, Fairfax Co., Virginia, at age 57.1 He POFF, William Blake Sr., 57, of Manassas and formerly of Pearisburg, died Sunday morning, March 12, 2000 in Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church. "Bill" was born in Pearisburg on November 28, 1942 a son of the late Roosevelt V. Poff and Caroline P. Smith of Peterstown, W.Va. He was a member of the 1963 graduating class at Giles High School in Pearisburg and earned his living in the furniture refinishing business. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Dowdy Poff of Manassas; four children, Delaine Jeffreys of Manassas, David Poff of Alexandria, Williams Poff, Jr. of Woodbridge, and James Poff of Herndon; his mother; three brothers, Marion Poff, John Poff and Steve Smith; five grandchildren, Jessica Jeffreys, Jasmine Jeffreys, Ashley Poff, Daniel Hickerson and James Jeffreys; his mother-in-law, Mary C. Dowdy of Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Lee Funeral Home in Manassas and Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home and Saturday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke. Arrangements in Giles County are with Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow Street in Pembroke. on March 14, 2000.1
