Dorothy Marcella Pearson Dorothy Pearson Wolfe, 67, of Boomer, went home to be with her Lord on August 1, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born August 20, 1944 in Caldwell county to Earl and Florence Coley Pearson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Lawson Elijah Wolfe; one brother, Earl "Buster" Pearson. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a faithful Christian. Survivors include: her husband, Thomas Delbert Wolfe of the home; three daughters, Sharon Wagner and husband Greg of North Wilkesboro, Monica Whitworth and husband Shannon of Ringgold, GA, Amy Hutchens and husband Eric of Millers Creek; one sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Broome and husband Larry of Newton; three granddaughters, Candy Smithey of Hiddenite, Amber Wolfe of the home, Ashley Wagner of North Wilkesboro; three grandsons, Cori Wolfe, Casey Hutchens and Logan Hutchens all of Millers Creek; three great-grandchildren, Luke Smithey, Samuel Smithey and Khloe Couch. Memorial services will be 2:00 o'clock Friday at Congo Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Shannon Critcher officiating. Service was ll a.m. Wednesday at Community Baptist Church, Graham, by Pastor Floyd Repass and Pastor Donnie Alley. Burial was at Alamance Memorial Park. on June 11, 2005.4

Lilly, 83, who passed away in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL 32127. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with interment at Daytona Memorial Park. Ed was a devoted husband and wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He never knew a stranger and was a great friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nola Lilly; daughter, Pat Belus (Allen); son, Dennis Lilly (Denise); five grandchildren and eight (soon to be nine) greatgrandchildren. Born in Beckley, W.Va., Ed worked most of his career at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, and then retired at age 58 to the Log Cabin Beside the Road in Hendersonville, N.C. This labor of love resulted in the assembling of one great collection of antique tools, Texaco memorabilia and his favorite item, a 1931 Model A Ford Roadster 8 wheel deluxe, where in his honor, a small road was named Lilly's Lane. A World War II Navy veteran, Ed saw action on the shores of Okinawa driving amphibious personnel carriers onto the beaches at the height of the action. He recently toured the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., where a long overdue recognition of his and many others service to our country was recognized. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in memory of Ed to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 533 N. Nova Road, Ste. 2067, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
