Blume, 75, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Campbell, Paula & Quinn Funeral Chapel in Rapid City with the Rev. Wayne Titus officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Lawn Cemetery in Rapid City. Blume died Friday at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Born Feb. 1, 1910, at Burchard, Neb., to Francis and Nellie (Manley) Blume, he was raised in Nebraska and Kansas. He married Eva Pearl Poff Jan. 6, 1953, at Kansas City, Mo. He worked as a steam plant operator at Ellsworth Air Force Base. He served with the Army during World War II. Blume was serving on the planning and zoning board in Box Elder at the time of his death. He was a member of Eagles Club Lodge No. 6992 of Alliance, Neb., a life-time member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the VFW Post in Rapid City. Survivors include his wife, Pearl of Box Elder; two sons, Donald Chick of Hyannis, Neb., and Kenneth Chick of Denver, Colo; three daughters, Marilyn Blume of Rapid City, Leona Thompson of Casper, Wyo., and Ruby Roberts of Tyler, Texas; three brothers, Charles of Hot Springs, Ark., Dean of Norwich, Conn., and Myron of Oklahoma City, Okla; a sister, Nellie Marie Melvin of Lincoln, Neb; 14 grandchildren, including Jeremiah Childs; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. on December 29, 1985.3
