     Sandra Lou Cassell Sandra Lou Simmons, Apr 11, 1939 - Aug 6, 2021. Sandra Lou Simmons, 82 departed this world on August 6, 2021. She was born in Roanoke, the daughter of the late Wythe LaHugh (Hugh) Cassell and Lucy (Frances) Cassell. Sandra was a beautiful lady with an indomitable spirit. She loved rock and roll music, N.Y. City, Las Vegas, travel in general, great food, and parties. A staunch democrat she supported equal rights for people of all races, genders, and sexual orientations. She supported many charities, particularly St. Jude’s, the National Organization of Women, and the Veterans Hospital. She began her career in beauty school and worked her way up to be a regional manager of Glenby International. She later started her own salon, "HairTrends Inc," with some of her family and friends. She was a mentor and an inspiration to many in the hair business. She had a generous and loving spirit and loved having her family and friends over for wonderful dinners. She was a great cook, photographer, and nature lover. She loved her home on Bent Mt. and her friends and neighbors there. She had a great sense of humor and was a creative thinker. Her philosophy of life is reflected in the lyrics of the song, "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Simmons, brother-in-law Larry Bryant, and ex-husband Jasper Jones. Left to cherish her memory are her Brother Jimmy Cassell, (Debbie), sister Bonnie Nunley ( Pete), special brother-in-law Dewy Bryant (Janie), and sister-in-law Pat Simmons. Her children, Joy Jones (Charlie), Dawn Campbell (Mark), Yvette Jones (Allen), Jesse Simmons (Lori); her grandchildren Tony Campbell, Erica Blankenship (Darren), Amy Campbell, Brandon Jones, Emma Jones, Alex Curtis, Aria, and Caleb Simmons; some special nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren and many dear friends including her partner in crime, Mary Ann Maslich. The family would like to thank some special caregivers; Kimberly Hairston, Kim Owens, Betty, Tine, Ann, the caregivers at Edley Place, Rheanna, Sarah, and Centra Hospice.3 She was born on April 11, 1939 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2,3 As of December 31, 1958,her married name was Jones.1 She married Jasper Brandon "J.B." Jones, son of Sir Jasper Jones and Emma Sophia Wells, on December 31, 1958 at Chesterfield Co., South Carolina.1,3 Sandra Lou Cassell and Jasper Brandon "J.B." Jones were divorced on May 21, 1987 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,3 Sandra Lou Cassell died on August 6, 2021 at Virginia at age 82.3

She is survived by her husband Mark Campbell, children Mark, (Tony) Campbell, Erica Blankenship, Amelia Campbell, grandchildren Jasper and Camile, Kingston, Naomi, Ava, sisters, Joy, and Yvette Jones, best friend Faye Fortune, Stepbrother Jesse Simmons, niece Emma Jones, nephew Brandon Jones, an aunt, Uncles, many dear cousins, and friends. on January 12, 2025.4

     Estelle Elma Jones was buried at Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Swenfield Road, Franklin Co., Virginia.9,4 She Estelle Jones, age 95, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. She was born January 11, 1922, a daughter of the late Aldine and Pearl Jones. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ishmael, Rudolph and Stafford Jones, sisters, Ina Messsenger, Juanita Howell, and Christine Jones. Surviving are one sister, Geraldine Smith of Roanoke and one sister- in-law, Patricia Jones of Henry. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends. Estelle attended St. Peters Mission School in Callaway and was a l940 graduate of Callaway High School. She retired from Eli Lilly Company in the 1980s and was a trained beautician and kept her license current until she entered Fork Mountain Rest Home. The family expresses their appreciation to the members and friends for the care and concern shown to Estelle. Also to Sarah Campbell and the staff of Fork Mountain Rest Home. Estelle will be remembered as always helping people and there when they needed her. She had a servants heart and always put others first. Interment will follow in Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.9 She was born on January 11, 1922 at Franklin Co., Virginia.2,9,4 She died on September 10, 2017 at Virginia at age 95.9,4
