She was a magnificent seamstress, making many of her own clothes. Thelma moved to this area in 1997 and purchased a ten acre parcel of land south of Marsing. The property was unimproved Owyhee desert. She moved her mobile home from Denver onto the property, had a well drilled and started planting small trees. Thelma turned this place into a virtual garden. She was a tireless worker, wonderful cook, and a beautiful lady. Thelma was born in Nampa, Idaho June 19, 1924. She is survived by her dearest friend and partner , Herb Huff; son, Jerry Wayne Landrum; daughter, Betty Jo Cobelt; grandson, Gary Coblet whom she raised; two granddaughters , Theresa and Marie; and many great grandchildren. We all miss her terribly. Our heartfelt gratitude to Treasure Valley Hospice for their support and loving care. A celebration of Thelma's life will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 2nd at 10329 Highway 78, nine miles south of Marsing. Memorials are suggested to Disabled American Veterans. on October 2, 2012.²
