He retired from the Air Force Ready Reserves in 1964 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a life member of the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons #130, a life member of the VFW and a member of the Retired Officers Association of America. He was an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America for 12 years. He will be greatly missed by a loving family, his wife of 65 years, Mary; and a daughter, Ruth Ann Limtiaco, both of Hawaii; a son, Richard E. LeMon, and his wife, Jane of Tallahassee, Florida; six grandchildren and one great-grandson; and a sister, Nellie of DeWitt, Iowa. A son Robert Charles "Chuck" LeMon, died in 1971. on February 3, 2008.2

Sisters Katherine Kenna, South Bend, Indiana, Mary VanDusen, Litchfield Park. Extended family wife Phyllis M. Paszli, step-daughter and two grandchildren, Dr. Roberta Kreb, Allison & Stephanie Kreb, Maple Grove, Minnesota, stepson and two grandchildren, J.R. Revling, Geoffrey P. Robert Charles "Chuck" LeMon was buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.3,4 He Funeral services for Charles (Chuck) Le Mon, 25, of Agana, Guam; who died April 23 in a motorcycle accident on Guam, will be held Friday. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Le Mon was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Le Mon, 1024 E. 3rd. St. Surviving in addition to the parents are a grandmother, Mrs. Cloyd Phillips of Edwardsburg; a brother, Richard E. Le Mon of Los Altos, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. John Gilliam of London, England. Born in South Bend on August 20, 1946, Le Mon had lived in this area until 1968. He graduated in 1964 from Mishawaka High School, where he set a record in 180 yard low hurdles and was also a graduate of Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, where he "re-wrote" the record book there in track. He led the Western Michigan shuttle hurdle team to a new world record in 1967. Le Mon had been employed as a science teacher at George Washington Junior High School, Agana, at the time of the accident, which also killed his companion.3 He was born on August 20, 1946 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.3 He died on April 23, 1971 at Guam at age 24.3

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Phillips was a veteran of World War II and a member of Mishawaka Post 360, Veterans of Foreign Wars. on August 29, 1972.10
