He worked most of his life in Wyoming County as a coal miner and later moved to Roanoke, Va., where he worked in the construction industry until his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He received the American Defense & Bronze "A” Medal, the American Area Medal, the Victory World War II Medal, the European African Area & 1 Star Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Area & 10 Stars Medal, and two Purple Hearts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Preston Graham. Survivors: sons, Stephen Graham of Roanoke, David Graham of Crab Orchard, Kenneth Graham of Sugarland, Texas and Stacy Graham of Rosemond, Calif; daughter, Dana Titta of Moore, S.C; brothers. Basil Graham of Roanoke and Kenneth Graham of Charlotte; sister, Lorrine Kleim of Charlotte; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel in Princeton with the Rev. Ronald Adkins officiating. Burial will be at the Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. on November 5, 1993.⁶

Edwards, Troutville; three sisters, Lozelle Bandy, Bonsack, Geraldine Patsel and Joan Robinson, both of Roanoke; sisters-in-law, Pauline Saville and Mary Gearheart , both of Salem; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 1998. Pastor David Fraser and Pastor Andy Berkner will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park.
