Wimmer, Sr., in Heaven on Monday, February 26, 2007. She was born to Thomas and Lucille Hutchinson on January 19, 1917. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Leon Albert Wimmer; her brothers, Luster Hutchinson, and Witsel Hutchinson; and by two sisters, Thelma Hutchinson and Gladys Willis. Viola was a member of the Parkway House of Prayer. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Cecil H. (Buddy) Wimmer, Jr. and James E. (Jimmy) Wimmer; one daughter, Joyce E. Wimmer; her granddaughter, Susan W. (Chip) Ribelin; two great-grandsons, Joshua T. Ribelin and S. Alex Ribelin; a sister, Myrtle Reynolds and a number of nieces and nephews. Last but not least, her beloved "granddog" Isabella Mae ("Tinker" to grandma). The family wishes to convey thanks to the caring staff of Berkshire Healthcare Center.      Leon Albert Wimmer was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^3,4 He was born on November 30, 1949 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3 He died on February 25, 1950 at Roanoke, Virginia.³ He Leon Albert Wimmer, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil H. Wimmer, 1704 Wise Ave., S. E., died yesterday afternoon in Lewis-Gale Hospital. In addition to his parents; two brothers, Cecil H. Wimmer, Jr. and James E. Wimmer, survive. Interment will be in Sherwood Cemetery. on February 27, 1950.⁴

     James Elwyn "Jimmy" Wimmer James Elwyn (Jimmy) Wimmer, 68, of Roanoke, passed away on the evening of November 30, 2014, after a brief illness. Jimmy was born on April 24, 1946, to the late Cecil H. Wimmer, Sr., and Viola H. Wimmer. He was also predeceased by an infant brother, Leon Wimmer; and many aunts and uncles. Left to cherish his memories are his brother, Cecil H. 'Buddy’ Wimmer Jr. and his wife, Charlotte; his sister, Joyce E. Wimmer, all of Roanoke; a niece, Susan Ribelin and her husband, Chip; great- nephews, Josh Ribelin and his wife, Katie, and S. Alex Ribelin; his lifelong friend, Gary Lavinder and his wife, Kathy; and a host of cousins. Last but not least, his “niece dog,” Isabella Mae, whom he lovingly called Stinky Pinky. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.³ He was born on April 24, 1946 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3,4 He married Rhonda Ann Stultz on May 9, 1971 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² James Elwyn "Jimmy" Wimmer and Rhonda Ann Stultz were divorced on May 31, 1977 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.⁷ James Elwyn "Jimmy" Wimmer died on November 30, 2014 at age 68.³

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Wade, and husband, James; one son, Tommy Wimmer; grandsons, James Edward Wade, and wife, Suzette, and Tim Wade, and wife, Melissa; great-grandson, Tyler Wade; and great-granddaughter, Brittany. on May 23, 2006.⁶

     Donald Ray "Don" Bouldin Donald Ray “Don” Bouldin, 70, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Kathleen Bouldin; and a brother, Bill Bouldin. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of almost 43 years, Diane Bouldin; cousin, Karen Kunde; a brother, his wife, and their family, Doug and Kathy King; niece and nephew, Sonya and Billy Bouldin; a sister-in-law and her family, Kay King and thirteen great-nieces and nephews. After retirement, Donald worked doing small home repair and lawn mowing which included one of his favorite hobbies of wood working. He also enjoyed the beach, pier fishing, and was an avid Virginia Tech fan, go Hokies!      Richard Allen "Dickie" King was born on December 18, 1957 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,4 He married Diane Kay Gillie on March 24, 1980 at Roanoke, Virginia.² Richard Allen "Dickie" King died on February 12, 2017 at Virginia at age 59.³ He Richard (Dickie) King, December 18, 1957 February 12, 2017 - 59, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017, following a hard and brave fought battle, "Dickie" has moved on. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton. Dickie is survived by his wife, Kay; mother, Audrey; siblings, Doug and Diane and their families; his three children, Jessica, Jason and Joshua, along with their families. He touched the lives of many and will always be known as "The Great Dickertes," and the best technical coatings engineer to live. on February 16, 2017.³

He was born in Bedford County on June 9, 1918, the son of the late Walker C. Overstreet and Una Belle Carter Overstreet. He was a US Army veteran serving during World War II, where he was a two-time recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also a recipient of the Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of Christian Life Ministries. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie Virginia Orange Overstreet. He is survived by his wife, Irene Willis Overstreet; four sons, James R. Overstreet, Donald R. Overstreet, Ricky L. Overstreet, and David A. Overstreet, all of Bedford; four daughters, Glenda O. Crawford, Carolyn O. Biggs, Rhonda O. Toms, all of Bedford, and Delores O. Presnell of Moneta; a stepson, Clayton W. Orange of Thaxton; a stepdaughter, Linda Bowles of Suffolk; four brothers, Lewis Overstreet of Vera Beach, Fla., John Overstreet of Phoenix, Ariz., Walter Overstreet of Chatham, and Obediah Overstreet of Roanoke; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Military graveside rites will be given by American Legion Post #16 at Virginia Memorial Park. on December 3, 1998.³

Mr. Bowles, a native of Roanoke, was a production supervisor for Planters Peanut Company and was a member of Nansemond River Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda Willis Bowles; a daughter, Kristy Williamson and her husband, Rick, of Suffolk; a son, Michael Edward Bowles II and his wife, Terri Lynn, of Suffolk; his mother, Mary Worley Bowles of Portsmouth; a sister, Barbara Bowles Smith and her husband, Bobby, of Fairhope, Ala; and four grandchildren, Christopher Evans, Travis Evans, Trae Michael Bowles and Nikki Bowles. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. on August 15, 1996.⁵

     Dorothy Rheba Basham was buried at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Pinellas Co., Florida.² Her Social Security Number was 228-26-8584.³ She was born on March 10, 1918 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^4,3 As of January 1, 1940,her married name was DeWese.¹ She married Thurman Pearson DeWese, son of James Larkin DeWese and Edna Elizabeth Pearson, on January 1, 1940 at Bluefield, Tazewell Co., Virginia.¹ Dorothy Rheba Basham died on July 19, 2009 at Clearwater, Hernando Co., Florida, at age 91.^2,3 She OLSEN, Dorothy R. (DeWese) 91, of Clearwater, died July 19, 2009 at Harbour Wood Nursing Center, Clearwater under the care of the Suncoast Hospice. Born at Cambria in Montgomery County, VA, she moved to Dunedin, 75 years ago from War, WV. She was a teacher at Oldsmar Elementary for 17 years. Upon retirement she moved to Bayonet Point and was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Hudson. Survivors include one son, Kenneth DeWese (Beverly); two grandchildren, Michael DeWese (Maria) & Michele DeWese Schulz (George); two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob DeWese; one sister, Patricia Meade, Princeton, WV; and three nephews, Scott, Keith, and Douglas Meade, Princeton, WV. Services and interment were held at Sylvan Abbey, Clearwater. on August 9, 2009.⁵
