Pauline was a very kind and generous person who loved serving others. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Coleman Barbour and Crettie Furrow Barbour; husband, Emmett Howell; her son, Ben F. Bowman; two brothers, Carl and Raymond Barbour. Surviving are her son, Jerry V. Bowman of the home; a grandson, Larry Bowman and wife; three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, June Bowman of Salem, N.J; sister, Bonnie Gilchrist of Baltimore, Maryland; a favorite sister-in-law, Donna Barbour of Annapolis, Maryland; several nieces and nephews; a devoted friend and former supervisor, Elsie Huffman. A funeral service will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel on Monday, October 25, 1999 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Frank W. Feather officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The viewing will be from 1 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and the morning of the service at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. on October 23, 1999.3

He is survived by his wife, Donna Margaret Barbour; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Ray Barbour, Upper Marlboro, Md., Gale Leroy and Dina Barbour, Beltsville, Md., Rex Wayne and Phyllis Barbour, Annapolis, Md; two sisters, Bonnie Gilchrist, Baltimore, Md., Pauline Howell, Roanoke; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 23, 10 a .m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Frank W. Feather officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Salem Chapel on April 23, 1996.2
