She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Wimmer, and her brother, David Wimmer. Sue is survived by her mother, Pauline Wimmer; her husband of 18 years, Joe Abbott; her sons, Justin Crenshaw (Jenny Neubert) and Mitchel Crenshaw. Also her sister, Pam Digges (Tom); her brother, Bill Wimmer (Brenda); nieces, Carrie Digges-Tolgyesi and Katie Wimmer; and nephew, Jason Digges. Ed Crenshaw, the father of her sons, also survives. Sue was a devoted mother and was excited about becoming a grandmother in the spring; her granddaughter will surely have an Angel on her shoulder. Susan managed several GNC stores in the area until her retirement in 2017. She was loving, friendly, funny, a good cook, a reader and a painter. Sue saw the beauty in all of Nature and loved all animals, particularly the neighborhood cats. Mr. Conner suffered fractured vertebrae with injuries to the spinal cord, fractures of five ribs, a fracture of the collar bone and internal injuries. Mr. Conner had been a resident of Rocky Cap for the last five years, having gone there from Ballard, Monroe county, his native home. Surviving are his parents. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Conner, of Ballard, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. R. A. Hopkins, Bluefleld; Mrs. W. B. Ballard, Princeton; Mrs. Arch Spangler, Mullens; Frank Conner, Rocky Gap; John D. Conner, of Ballard; Ellett Conner, Bozoo, and Merrill Conner, of Mar France, W. Va. on February 13, 1934.3

Shumate on April 28, 1920 at Summers Co., West Virginia.6,11,12 Ellet Waitman Conner died on November 30, 1964 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 67.5,6 He Ellet W. Conner, 67, of Cashmere died at 7 a.m. Monday in a Bluefield hospital after a short illness. Born at Elgood, July 30, 1897, he was a son of the late Samuel and Louise Massey Conner. He had lived in this area most of his life and was a farmer. He was formerly employed by Celanese Corp. Survivors include his wife, Delilah Shumate Conner; three daughters, Mrs. Emmett Skaggs of Bozoo, Mrs. Hunter Bradley of Cashmere and Mrs. Dean Keatley of Wilmington, Del; two brothers, John D. and Merrel Conner, both of Pearisburg, Va; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Spangler of Ballard, Mrs, Euna Hopkins of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Myrtle Ballard of Princeton; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hobart Canterbury, Norman Robinson, Tony Bradley, Earl Martin, John Woodson and Joe Dunn. Women of the church will carry flowers. on December 1, 1964.6
