She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and The Women of the Moose, Chapter 22. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Van Buren, five sisters; Lillian L. Martin, Louise L. Kirby, Magdalene L. Hayth, Ruth L. McLeod, and Phyllis L. Armentrout, three brothers; Robert Lawler, James Lawler, and Eugene Lawler, a son-in-law, Bernard “Pete” Nicely, and two grandchildren; Joseph Wayne Van Buren and Amanda Marie Van Buren, who died at birth. She is survived by two daughters; Eugenia “Genie” Nicely of Iron Gate and Anita V. Boone and husband Rob of Covington, a son, Michael R. Van Buren, Sr. of Williamsburg, a brother, Harry J. Lawler of Atlanta, GA, five grandchildren; Michael R. Van Buren, Jr., Israel T. Boone, Joshua L. Van Buren, Travis L. Nicely, and Megan N.
