     Harold Thomas Hardy Sr. was buried at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Henrico Co., Virginia.² He was born on August 15, 1923 at Henry Co., Virginia; The SSDI has a birth date of Aug 1, 1923.^5,2,6 He married Ann Marie Minter on November 8, 1946 at Richmond, Virginia.^2,3 Harold Thomas Hardy Sr. died on February 25, 2012 at Hanover Co., Virginia, at age 88.^5,4 He Hardy, Harold Thomas Sr., born August 15, 1923, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Lee and Gertrude Knight Hardy. Left to cherish his memory are wife of 65 years, Ann Minter Hardy and his 5 sons and daughter inlaws, Tom and Linda, Ron and Diane, John and Theresa, Bruce and Denise, Randy and Karen, and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Harold was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and he will be surely missed. Harold retired from Phillip Morris after 33 years. He was a member of the Cadet Corps at John Marshall High School and a member of Carlisle Ave. Baptist Church. He was a WW II veteran serving in the Marine Corps and a life time member of the American Legion Post 144. The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to Robert and Rick, of The Wayland Home in Mechanicsville. Harold's remains rest at Nelsen Funeral Home 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. The family will receive friends Monday February 27, 2012 from 2-4 pm. and 6-8 pm. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2012 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. A friendship gathering will be immediately following at Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 2010 Carlisle Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. on February 27, 2012.²
