James was born in Clarksville, OK to James William and Myrtle (Brandon) Hayner. He was married to Orene Thomas Hayner on July 5, 1941. He enlisted in the Army in September 1940 and was discharged in July 1945. He served with the 45th Infantry as combat infantry man serving in Sicily, Naples, Foggia Southern France, Rome, Arno Rhineland and central Europe. He received the Good Conduct Medal, The EAME Service Ribbon with one Silver Service Star, one Bronze Service Star, one Bronze Arrowhead and American Defense Service Ribbon. Following the war, James and Orene established their home in Muskogee where they reared their two daughters, Karren and Diane. He retired from Fansteel Metallurgical Corp. in 1980. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a Mason of Oriental Lodge #430, AF&AM. James was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, and three brothers. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Orene; their two daughters and husbands, Karren and Jimmy Rogers of Muskogee and Diane and Kent Taylor of Tulsa; his grandaughters, Kathy (Paul) Keeling and Kristy (Dan) Newell and great grandchildren, Kit, Kase and Kale Keeling and Karlie and Klaire Newell; one sister, Mary (John) Dalgarn of Miami, OK and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at the Bradley Belltower Chapel with Pastor Steve Alexander of New Hope Baptist Church officiating.5 His Social Security Number was 441-16-8364.3 He was born on January 5, 1915 at Clarksville, Wagoner Co., Oklahoma.3,4,5,6 He married Frances Orene Thomas on July 5, 1941.5 James Clifford Hayner died on November 19, 2007 at Claremore, Rogers Co., Oklahoma, at age 92.3,5,6

Revs. James Ranard and W. A. Long officiated. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Born in Hendricks County, Dec. 27, 1922, he was a son of John H. and Elsie M. (Smith) Johnson. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1941. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served from 1943-1946. On Oct. 1, 1983, he married Dorothy (Long) Chesterson at Crawfordsville. She survives. He previously was married to Mary Joan Kennedy on June 5, 1954. Mr. Johnson retired from Purdue University in 1984 where he was a machinist. He was a member of Hazelrigg #200 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis; Murat Shrine, American Legion Post 72 and VFW, both of Crawfordsville. Survivors in addition to the widow, Dorothy, are his mother, Elsie Johnson of rural Jamestown; two step-daughters, Mrs. Phil (Tona) Guinn of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Gary (Donna) Hockett of Waveland; a sister, Phyllis Emmert of rural Jamestown and a brother, Joe Johnson, also of rural Jamestown, and five grandchildren.2 He was buried at Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery, 1114 South Grant Avenue, Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana.2 He was born on December 27, 1922 at Hendricks Co., Indiana.2 He married Dorothy Frances Long, daughter of James Otis "Otis" Long and Valla Willora "Vallie" Conner, on October 1, 1983 at Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana.1,2 Gerald Wayne "Johnnie" Johnson died on April 25, 1987 at Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana, at age 64.2

In 1951, they moved to Hulett and purchased the clothing store. They owned and operated Long's Clothing Store for a number of years. At the age of 93, she moved to Sundance Assisted Living and then eventually to the nursing home. Marian enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hulett and was active in the Hulett Women's Club. Marian is survived by her two sons, John (Shirley) Long of Sundance, and Joe (Debbie) Long of Camp Crook, SD; her daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Knapp of Hulett; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Charles Stoner of Monticello, IN. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wilbert; her son James Curtis; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; one sister; and two brothers. Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance. on June 25, 2008.6
