Plus 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Mae was saved at the age of 16 and loved her Lord. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many during her life span. Visitation will be Thursday February 26th at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. Henry is survived by his wife Henrietta Salkil of the home, two daughters Barbara Cook of Mansfield, MO, and Joyce Fattig of Springfield, MO, two sons, Steven Salkil of Seymour, Mo and Daniel Salkil of St. Louis, MO, two sister; Linna Hancock and Hester Mantle one brother Finis Salkil, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday August 11, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 Pm in the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday August 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel. burial will follow at Hopedale Cemetery in Ozark, MO. on August 10, 2009.4

He passed away three days later in a California hospital. Survivors include his wife, May; three daughters, Ethel, Patsy and Sharon Kay, all of the home in Punta; one brother, Clyde, of Aurora; three sisters, Mrs. Hurbert Green of Pierce City, Mrs. Hobert Andrews of Crane, Mrs. Eddie Ebert of Billings; two half brothers, Junior of Logan, and Charles of Clever, and his father, John of Clever. The body was brought to Billings for burial. Funeral services were held Aug. 15, at Delaware Church with Rev. Lynn Swadley of Springfield officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery under the direction of the Wilburn Maples Funeral Home of Clever.5

He entered into heaven on November 25, 2012 reuniting with his wife Linnia. He was a retired dairy farmer from Bois D'Arc and was a World War II veteran serving in the Philippines and Japan. He was honorably discharged as a corporal from the United States Army. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Wesley and Verna McBride Hancock; brothers, Lloyd and Gene; sisters, Opal, Ada and Mae; son, Ray Batson and daughter, Joyce Brogno. He is survived by three sons, Don Batson and Caroline, Glen L. Hancock, David Hancock and Cindy; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Glen loved Linnia and missed her terribly for 1 year and 20 days. They are taking long walks, fishing, watching the bird dogs work and just being together forever. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Highway EE, Springfield. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Family has requested donations be made in Glen's name to the Bois D'Arc Baptist Church, P. O. Box 526, Bois D'Arc, MO 65612 on November 27, 2012.2

Hester was born November 18, 1939 in Springfield, Missouri, one of nine children, to Bud and Neil Salkhil. She was raised near Springfield. She was united in marriage to Billy K. Mantle on August 21, 1958 in Kansas City. The couple resided in Kansas City for thirteen years and later, Raytown for ten years. In 1984, the couple moved to a farm near Leeton. Hester was an avid reader and baseball fan. She also enjoyed doing family genealogy and spoiling her pets. Survivors include her husband, Billy; daughter: Dana Cease and fiancé, Harvey Woods of Leeton, MO; two sons: Duane Mantle and wife, Debbie of Odessa, MO and Darrin Mantle and wife, Lisa of Stover, MO; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1st at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Rev. Sid Tiller of Northside Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton.
