He was employed as a car man for CSX Railroad for 41 years and retired in 1986. He served as city Councilman, and later served as Mayor of East Bank in 1963. He was a longtime member of The East Bank United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Verna, of East Bank; son, Steven Foster and wife Gretchen of Pinch; daughter, Susan Foster-Harper and husband Gene of Lexington, Ky; and grandchildren, Brent Foster and wife Stephanie of Charleston, and David Foster, currently residing in Morgantown. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, with Pastor Don Dobbins officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home.      Jean Jeanette Myers Jean Jeanette McClure, 89, of Riverside died Thursday February 2, 2017, in her home surrounded by family, after a short illness. She was the fifth of eight children. Jean, in her younger years worked at A+P and Coppers. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, flower gardening, and spending time with all her grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Rookie; her parents Helen and Earl Myers; three sisters and four brothers; and her grandson David McClure. Jean is survived by six children, Doug McClure of Glasgow, Donna Burdette of Riverside, Richard & Diana McClure of Riverside, David & Donna of Pratt, Jeff McClure of Riverside, Brad Thomas of East Bank; her grandchildren, Jennifer Daniels, Carrie Stewart, Tara McCallister, Telisha McClure, Tiffany Keenan, Nelson McClure, Brandon McCormick; and 15 great grandchildren. Per Jean's wishes, there will be no visitation.
