She was 89 years old. A graveside memorial at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville will follow. Shirley was born on January 17, 1935 in Fayetteville, West Virginia to the late Mr. Walter Lewis Shockey and Mrs. Audrey McClung Shockey. She treasured her family memories. In her early years, she grew up loving the Lord and was of the Baptist Faith. Shirley spent 38 years with her loving husband of 69 years Donald R. King in Bedford Virginia. In Bedford, she belonged to the Bedford Garden Club for many years and volunteered her time weekly at the Bedford Memorial Hospital. She also loved the outdoors and reading. Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Along with her parents and son (Donald, Jr.) she is preceded in death by her siblings: Paul Shockey, Mildred Shockey Smith, Sarah Shockey Martin, June Shockey Blackwelder and Lewis Shockey. Shirley is survived by her children: Jeani (Matt) Montgomery of Charlottesville, and Walter (Tabitha) King of Bedford; 5 grandchildren: Jessica (Ryan) Graf, Aaron Montgomery, Kameron King, Karoline King and Travis (Erica) Ringer; and 3 great grandchildren: Audrey Graf, Eli Ringer and June Ringer; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.10 She married Donald R.
