He was the husband of Ruby Naomi (Furrow) Allison for 63 years. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Dr. Bradley A. Brown officiating. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Allison was born May 24, 1918, in York, a son of the late Charles A., Sr. and Mabel E. (Spangler) Allison. He retired as a press operator with Lyon Metal Products Co. following 28 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the 6th Field Battery A Association. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in York and a life member of the Victory Athletic Association. In addition to his wife, Mr. Allison is survived by a son, John S. Allison, Jr; a grandson, John S. Allison, III; nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1030 Carlisle Road, York, PA 17404; or to the Thursday Class of York County Blind Center, 1380 Spahn Ave., York, PA 17403. on September 29, 2004.1

Survivors include two sons, Robert Goodnight, Russiaville, and Harold Goodnight, Kokomo; three daughters Mrs. Floyd (Marianna) Taylor, Russiaville, Miss Berniece Goodnight, Middletown, Conn., and Mrs. Alex (Betty Jo) Hardie, Kokomo; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A son, a daughter, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Stout Funeral Home, Russiaville with the Rev. Armour Keller officiating. Burial will be In Russiaville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday. on August 8, 1975.1

Born Dec. 20, 1892 in Tipton County, she was the daughter of Alvin and Viola James. She had lived in the Cicero area most of her life. She worked at both the Cicero and Arcadia Canning Companies. The deceased was married Dec. 24, 1915 in Frankfort to Roy Adkinson who survives. Other survivors are four daughters, Miss Emma Lois Adkinson, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Clara Jane Myers, Hitchcock, Texas, Mrs. Virginia May Witherow, Muncie, and Mrs. Helen Rebecca McCarley, El Cajon, Cal. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Clara Ellen Goodnight, Russiaville, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.4 She was buried at Cicero Cemetery, Cicero, Hamilton Co., Indiana.3 Her Social Security Number was 313-16-2379.5 She was born on December 20, 1892 at Tipton Co., Indiana.1,4,5 As of December 24, 1915,her married name was Adkinson.4 She married Roy Adkinson on December 24, 1915 at Frankfort, Clinton Co., Indiana.4 Maggie R.
