Sellars, Bradenton, Fla; one sister, Blondine Thomas, Roanoke; nine grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, 1995, at Stanleytown Baptist Church with the Rev. Edwin Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park, Bassett. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 1995, at Tomlinson Funeral Home, Ridgeway and at other times at the home. Tomlinson Funeral Home, Ridgeway in charge of arrangements. on April 6, 1995.2

     James Gary Gray James Gary Gray passed on March 27, 2025 in Salem, Virginia. Gary was born on May 17, 1946 to O. Wayne Gray and Neta DeWitt Gray, in Roanoke, Virginia, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife Jean Garmer Gray. Gary was a graduate of Floyd County High School and Roanoke Technical College. He served in the Army Reserves as a Mess Seargent. He was a friend to many through his various interests. Gary was a lifetime member of the Bent Mountain Fire Department and the first junior member of the department. He was an amateur radio HAM for many years and made friends across the coast attending hamfests and talking over the radio. Gary was also a long time member of the SCV, Stuart’s Horse Artillery, and the 2nd Virginia Cavalry and enjoyed learning about history and traveling to events. Gary was a member of Lakeland Masonic Lodge and the Kazim Shrine Temple, where he was a member of the Kazim Band, Tavernkeepers, and the Roadrunners where he helped transport kids to the Shriner’s hospitals in Greenville, Philadelphia, and Cincinnati. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed working on the farm, woodworking, and spending time with friends. Gary is survived by his wife, Faye Gray and his children, Katie Gray and Zac Gray (Allison) and a step-daughter, Veronica Goad (Josh). Left to cherish his memory are many friends and neighbors. We would also like to thank his special friends, the nurses and staff on 6E at Lewis Gale, who helped make his final days easier. McLain, III and wife, Monica; four grandchildren, Shannon Hodges and husband, Jeff, Christy Hogan, Riley McLain, and Jack McLain; three great-grandchildren, Gage Chisom and wife, Amber, Andrew Mayo, and Lindsey Hogan; two great great-grandchildren, Alivia Chisom and Averie Chisom; two sisters, Sue Watson and Betty Francisco; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Myra Stiglich and Frances McGraw; and one brother, Joseph Byron Poff, Jr. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.      Leon Stiglich was born on June 28, 1922 at Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan.1,2,3 He married Miriam Rose "Myra" Poff, daughter of Joseph Byron Poff Sr. and Hazel Bell Fowler, on November 9, 1944 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.4,1,2,3 Leon Stiglich died on August 17, 2007 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 85.5,3 He Leon Stiglich, a resident of Troutville for 55 years, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. He was born on June 28, 1922 to the late Blaz and Anna Malnar Stiglich in Michigan. Leon Stiglich was a WW II Veteran and a recipient of a Purple Heart, who was retired from N & W Railroad. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael, who died in Vietnam in 1969; his wife of 60 years, Myra Poff, in 2005; and two brothers, Robert and Anthony Stiglich. He is survived by his wife of one year, Ann; a daughter, Linda Wigington and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Scott Fenton, Jennifer Russell, Beth Yowell, and Kevin Yowell; son, Jim Stiglich and wife, Renee; and grandson, Bryan Stiglich; great-grandsons, Caleb, Jake and Luke Russell; brothers, William and Roy Stiglich; sisters, Betty Cassin and Marian Smith; and a host of other nieces and nephews and friends. on August 24, 2007.3

He was serving in the Air Force and had been in Vietnam for eight months. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stiglich, Troutville; a sister, Mrs. Linda Fenton, East Falmouth, Mass; a brother, James Byron Stiglich, at home. on October 17, 1969.5
