     Nellie Adkins was buried at Creighton Ridge Church of Christ Cemetery, Marr, Monroe Co., Ohio.³ She was born on August 20, 1923 at Fireco, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.¹ As of October 17, 1947,her married name was Massie.¹ She married James Hubert Massie, son of William Walter Massie and Minnie Mae Patterson, on October 17, 1947 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,3,2 Nellie Adkins died on October 28, 2002 at Marietta, Washington Co., Ohio, at age 79.³ She Nellie N. Massie, 79, of Lower Salem, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 28, 2002, at The Arbors of Marietta. Surviving are her husband, James H. Massie; two sons, Randall E. (Linda) Massie and James D. (Cheryl) Massie; two brothers, Roy Adkins and Harley (Nancy) Adkins; three sisters, Glenna (Charles) Tincher, Betty (Duane) Schneider and Hilda (Morris) Nutter; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Creighton Ridge Cemetery with VFW Post 4721 and American Legion Post 641 conducting graveside veterans services. on October 30, 2002.³

     Linda Louise Dutt Linda Louise Massie, 66, of Lower Salem, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Summit Acres Nursing Home, in Caldwell, Ohio. Linda was born May 11, 1953 in Akron, Ohio to Lawrence and Dorothy (Hill) Barrows. She was a 1971 graduate of Woodridge High School. She married Randall Massie on February 11, 1974. Linda was a swing manager for the Marietta-area McDonalds restaurants for over 20 years. She was a member of the Twin Rivers Baptist Church. Linda loved to cook, and was particularly passionate about spending time with her grandchildren. Linda will be deeply missed by her husband Randall E. Massie; sons James (Lisa) Massie, Randall J. (April) Massie, Daniel (Danyel) Massie, Matthew (Ashley) Massie; 15 beloved grandchildren; brothers Ronald (Beth) Barrows and Ernest (Vickie) Evans; and lifetime friend Patti (Dan Oriti) Neill-Henry. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Skip (Lila) Hoyt and her sister Donna.
