She was a longtime member of Crystal Springs Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. She was retired from Dominion Bank as head teller, and enjoyed doing crafts and playing bingo. She is survived by her loving children, Sandra Mills, Dennis Mills, Norma Cox; sister, Mary Jamison; sister-in-law, Marguerite Spangler. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Dickson and the Rev. John Graybill officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in Vinton. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel. The family would like to thank Wheatland Hills in Christiansburg, Carilion New River Valley Medical Care Unit and Chaplain Jonathan Webster for their compassion and care. Evans (Annette), Jerry Evans (Faye), and Ronald Evans (Ellen); six great-nieces and nephews; 12 great-great- nieces and nephews; nine great-great-great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Marguerite Spangler; and her cat, Black Jack. Mills, 66, of Boones Mill passed away at home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 after a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Spangler Mills. Dennis was a graduate of Cave Spring High School and had worked for the Hershey Creamery. At the time of his death he was the owner/operator of Southwest Virginia Delivery Service. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved hiking the trails of the area with his beloved dog, Maddie. Surviving is his sister, Sandy Mills; and a longtime devoted friend, Norma Cox. The family would like to thank the Blue Ridge Cancer Center for their care of Dennis. Private interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.4 He was born on July 24, 1957 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 He died on November 8, 2023 at Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 66.4

She enjoyed quilting, needle point and found great satisfaction knitting and donating "walker bags" for seniors with walkers, as well as knitting hats and scarves for the needy. She enjoyed the piano and listening to music. Arlene will be dearly missed by many. Daughter of the late Jefferson D. and Dulcie D. Reed; wife of 64 years to the late Edward M. Pugh. Survivors, daughter, Deborah P. (Edward T.) Keinath; son, Gary M. (Wendy) Pugh; grandchildren, Amy (Nick) Lewandowski, Rachel Pugh, Kevin (Colleen) Keinath; six great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at Edgewood Memorial Park, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA. on July 23, 2020.7

Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, with Pastor Robert Wiseman and Pastor Elmo Alderman officiating. Burial will be in Restwood Memorial Gardens, Hinton. on January 18, 1995.7
