He was a retired miner and a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local No. 7086 in Beckley. Born at Rush Run, June 21, 1883, he was the son of the late John and Mary Winsor Rhodes. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Olive Bess Rhodes; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Woodrum and Mrs. Margaret Jennings, both of Oak Hill; a sister, Mrs. Prushia Light of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with Minister Freddie Dinkler in charge. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park at Oak Hill. The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call after 4 p.m. today. on February 17, 1964.5

Robert Hensley "Hank" Webb Robert "Hank" Hensley Webb, Jr. , 83, of Beckley, WV died on Friday, February 11, 2011 in Mesa, AZ. Born January 17, 1928 at Dothan, WV, he was the son of the late Hensley and Blanche Radford Webb. He was a retired Manager for Bell Atlantic Telephone Company with 39 years of service. Mr. Webb was a member of the United Methodist Temple, Beckley, WV. He was a member of the W.B.B.I. Air Stream Club, Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion Post #32, Beckley, WV. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War having attained the rank of Tech 5. Mr. WebbÂ's favorite pastime was making music. During his winter stays in Arizona, he was the MC of a weekly jam. He also enjoyed woodworking and crafting furniture for many family members and friends. His specialty was the C.O. stool which can be found in many homes across the country. In his church in Beckley, he contributed various pieces of furniture throughout. He was preceded in death by his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Andrew Lively and Lettie and Raymond Young, in addition to brother-in-law George Jones. Survivors include wife of 62 years Gloria Webb; sister Christine Jones of Oak Hill, WV; son Barry Webb and wife Erin of Morgantown, WV, daughter Cindy Gaines and husband George of Gilbert, AZ and Susan Woods and husband Tom of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren Eryck and Adrya Webb; special adopted granddaughter Heather Wade. Also surviving are nieces Shauna Popson of Buckhannon, WV and Sheila Braenovich of Oak Hill, WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Friday, February 18, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the United Methodist Temple in Beckley. Visitation will precede the services from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. He grew up in the Dothan area and served in the European Theater in Germany during World War II. He was a coal miner in the Lochgelly mines and after a mining accident was a stay-at-home father with his two daughters. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, United Mine Workers of America, and was a past member of the Civitan Club. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Webb Lively; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Jon Braenovich of Oak Hill and Shauna and Isaac Aurelio of Buckhannon; and grandchildren, Ali and Ty Braenovich and Andrew and Mark Aurelio. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Erskine Lively and Melvin Lively; and a sister, Judy Sprouse; as well as his parents. Surviving siblings and spouses include Roy and Margaret Lively, Darrell and Delores Lively, June Lively Richmond, Maurel and James Sheets, and Lowell and Patsy Lively, all of Ohio, a brother and wife, Roma and Judy Lively of Oak Hill, and sister-in-law, Frances Lively of Bradley, his wife's sister and brother-in-law, Christine and George Jones of Oak Hill, and his wife's brother and sister-in-law, Robert "Hank" and Gloria Webb of Beckley. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. David White officiating. Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Pea Ridge, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3110 of Oak Hill. Born May 22, 1932, at Summerlee, W.Va., he was the son of the late Thomas George and Inez Blanche Duncan Jones. He retired as manager of AT&T Phone Center Stores having 29 years service with the company. Mr. Jones was a member and deacon of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Oak Hill Lodge No. 120 AF&AM and Oak Hill Chapter No. 107 O.E.S. He was a former member of the Rotary and the Jaycees, who in 1965 voted him Outstanding Young Man of the Year. As an active local businessman, George was the founder of Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. He was an organizer and first president of the Fayette Plateau Chamber of Commerce as well an organizer and first parade grand marshal of the WV Sports Festival. He was a graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. George was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Two sisters, Natella Jean Blackwell and Beulah Louise Pemberton preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Christine Webb Jones; two brothers, Kenith Smyth Jones and wife, Peggy, of Taylorsville, N.C. and William Edward Jones and wife, Carol, of Oak Hill; three sisters, Janet Gay Payne and husband, Charles W. of Oak Hill, Doris Ann Criss and husband, Jack of Cleveland, Ohio, and Drema Gail Cales and husband, Michael of Leesburg, Va; 30 nieces and nephews; and two very special grandchildren, Ty and Ali Braenovich. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, on Tuesday, April 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial service will be on Wednesday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. David White officiating. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Ken Jones Jr., Tim Jones, Michael Cales, Barry Jones, Mark Aurelio, Andy Aurelio, Barry Webb, and Ty Braenovich. on April 18, 2006.3

Radford is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mollie Radford; five children, Lucile, Luther, jr., Marie, Ronald and Harry Radford; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. I. Radford, and one brother, D. A. Radford of Itmann. on December 11, 1938.6
