     Charles Montrose "Charlie" King was born on February 25, 1932 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ He died on October 26, 2002 at Virginia at age 70.^6,4 He KING, Charlie M., 70, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2002. He was born in Roanoke, Va. on February 25, 1932, the son of Charlie Blount and Lorene (Dean) King, who preceded him in death. Surviving him are his children and their families, Debbie (daughter) and Larry Price and children, Michael, Megan, Matthew, Mitchell and Bryon; Michael (son) and Shirley King and children, Amber and Justin; Gary (son) and Lori King and daughter Ashley; Steve (son) and Nita Wilhelm and children Katrina, Kristen and Steven. He is also survived by his brother, Milton and wife Audrey King. His grandchildren were his greatest source of joy in his life. Everyone will remember his giving heart. He was a custom painter, who took a lot of pride in his work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mattie King; and brother, Charlie King. King; three children, Doug King and his wife, Kathy, Diane Bouldin and her husband, Don, and Richard "Dickie" King and his wife, Kay; five grandchildren, Jessica King, Erin Ferguson, Michelle Hayden, Jason King, and Joshua King; 13 great-grandchildren; and special niece, Debbie Kavanaugh. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Pastor John Hayden officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. on February 14, 2016.³

Edens, 78, of Vinton, Va., passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010. She was a member of the Vinton Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an avid listener of country music and loved to square dance. She and her husband attended many music festivals held at the Vinton Farmer's Market. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Donald R. (Don) Edens; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Edens and Carol Edens; a daughter and son-in-law, Susie Blount and Barry Blount; and two grandchildren, Christina Edens and Bobby Edens. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Bishop Jimmy Webber officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. She was employed by Lewis-Gale Hospital for 10 years and was a partner of B & B Welding and Crane for 24 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Stena Duggins Edens. Surviving are husband, Barry Wayne Blount; her father, Donald R. Edens; one brother, Kenneth "Butch" Edens and wife, Carol; sister, Trish Scott; stepdaughter, Dawn Blount; granddaughter, Katelyn Johnson; grandsons, Josh O'Conner and Jay Johnson; niece, Christine Edens; nephew, Robert Edens ; her uncles and aunts, William and Alvinia Edens, Eugene and Ruth Edens, Fred Edens and Kenneth Edens ; several cousins; sister-in-law, Sandra Taylor; brother-in-law, Kent Blount; and her six family cats who she loved very much. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Randy Daniels officiating.
