Schreiber, 2828 Dove Street, Williamsport, PA. Mr. Courter lived all his life in the house on Main Street, Blanchard, where he was born July 8, 1874. Three months ago he went to Williamsport to spend the winter with his son, Franklin T. Courter, and his daughter who live there. His son is supervisor of the Central Lycoming Joint Schools at Hepburnville. Another daughter, Mrs. Richard Sillman of Miami, FL, and two grandchildren also survive. Mr. Courter was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Blanchard. He worked as a foreman in the Beech Creek brickyards while the company was operated by the Wynn family, now of Fort Lauderdale, FL. His wife died some years ago. on March 7, 1960.4 He died on March 7, 1960 at Williamsport, Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania, at age 85.3,4

He had been strickenly suddenly about 3 p.m. at home. Well-known to young and old in this area of Centre-Clinton County, Mr. Boloque had retired two years ago from his school busing operation, transporting pupils to Lock Haven Area Jointure schools. He was a member of Blanchard Church of Christ, it Christian Homebuilders class, and served his church as a deacon and treasurer of the building fund. He belonged also to the Beech Creek-Blanchard Fire Co., and the Loyal Order of Moose in Lock Haven. Born in Guthrie, Okla. on July 5, 1902, he was a son of Lewis and Nettie Pifer Boloque. He had been twice married, first to Marian Courier, whose death occurred in 1946. He married the former Margaret McMaster of Lock Haven in 1947. There are no children. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Manila Clock, Mill Hall; nieces and nephews, and a cousin, Lawrence Boloque of Portland, with whom be had recently, been reunited after they hadn't seen each other for 50 years. on November 4, 1967.6

Another memorial service will be planned in Pennsylvania and announced at a later date. Burial will be in the Church of Christ Cemetery in Blanchard, Pa. Mr. Updegraff was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Williamsport, Pa., to Clayton and Gertrude Bauder Updegraff. On July 20, 1963, he married the former Carol Louise Courter in Williamsport. Mr. Updegraff graduated from Williamsport High School, Dickinson College of Carlisle, Pa., Pennsylvania State University with a master's degree in physics and Ohio University in Athens with a doctorate degree in physics. His career included various teaching and administrative positions at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Simpson College in Iowa, New York State University College in Buffalo, Wittenberg University in Ohio and Ripon College in Wisconsin. After retiring in 1999, the couple moved to Glennallen, where he volunteered as administrator for computing services at Alaska Bible College. Mr. Updegraff was a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Ripon and was a former elder there. He and Carol have been a part of Copper Center Community Chapel since moving to Glennallen. His family wrote: ''In addition to being a fine, loving husband and father, Bill was a good friend to many. He enjoyed singing, building campfires, 'playing' with his computer, and, more recently, searching for his 'roots' as a fledgling genealogist. He will be sadly missed, but his faith was strong and heaven is his home now.'' Besides his wife, survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine and Tony DeZarn of Colorado and Jane Updegraff of Ohio; son, Thomas E. Updegraff of Illinois; granddaughter, Alexis DeZarn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucile and Ralph Wright, Ruth and Milton House, and Jean Hecker, all of Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Franklin and wife Donna Courter of Pennsylvania; and other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alaska Bible College Building Fund, P.O. Box 289, Glennallen 99588-0289. Arrangements were made with Evergreen Memorial Chapel downtown on June 22, 2002.1
