Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Flora Funeral Chapel. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Friday. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Chittum Furrow; his parents, Cecil and Ardella Furrow; and his brother, James Furrow. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Furrow; three brothers, Theo Furrow (Pat), Ricky Furrow (Rhonda), Ronnie Furrow; and a sister, Wanda Furrow; five step-children, Janice Palmer (Shane), Richard Holt, Teresa Gillespie (Ernie), Amanda Brooks, Michael Holt (Tonya); 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Richfield Nursing Home for their care. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation will be held at the Gogginsville United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount, Va. on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will also be held at Gogginsville on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kathryn Budzik officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. on January 13, 2017.6

She was born in Patrick County on January 21, 1938 to the late Samuel Howard Conner and Ella Mae Goode Conner. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert William Boyd; one sister, Era Elgin; and seven brothers, Estelle Conner, James Howard Conner, Cline Conner, Johnny Conner, Thomas Conner, Charlie Conner and Curtis Conner. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Sycamore Baptist Church. The Revs. Gerald Melton and Robert Smith officiated. Burial was in the Woolwine Cemetery. Arrangements were by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. on January 5, 2007.2
