Born February 7, 1945, at Kegley, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. Hodges and Zona V. White Hodges. Sallie was educated in Mercer County and had been in food service & management her entire life, having last worked for K & W Cafeteria. She was a very active member of the First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton. Sallie had served in many capacities within the life of the church; she loved people of all ages, but especially children. Sallie was devoted to her family, her family meant the world to her, she enjoyed outdoors, going on river walks with her grandchildren and working in her flower garden. Sallie had fought a courageous battle with many illnesses, through it all, she gave God the glory, and now, she is in the presence of Her Lord whom she loved dearly. She will be sadly missed by her family and church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Hodges and Peter Hodges. Survivors include her five children, Jacob and Denise Hodges of Princeton, Pete and Rebecca Fraetis of Iowa, Angel and Tom Swanner of Richmond VA, Aaron "Chuck" and Kelly Fraetis of Charlotte NC, Felicia and Dale Branham of Roanoke VA. 17 Grandchildren and they were all great in her eyes; Nine living siblings, Garnette Ervin of Princeton, Tim and Bertha Hodges of San Diego CA, Ben Hodges of Cleveland TN, Art and Rhonda Hodges of Athens, Sandra and Eugene Lambert of Princeton, Mark Hodges of San Diego CA, Chuck and Martha Hodges of Chicago IL, Kyle S. and Carol Hodges of Warsaw VA, Doug and Debbie Hodges of Stretor, IL; Sister-in-law, Carolyn Hodges; A host of nieces and nephews. On Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., we will celebrate the Home going of Sallie at First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton with Pastor Paul Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on September 3, 2014.1

Born February 11, 1949 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Bonnie McCoy Hodges and Eva Irene Farmer Hodges. She was preceded in death by two siblings, James and Della Hodges. Edna Mae was employed by Concord College in Athens for 26 years as a baker until this terrible disease called cancer took its hold on her. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, David Eugene King; one son, Lee Wayne Hodges; daughters, Patricia Diane King and fiancée Darrell, Carol Evans and husband James, all of Princeton; eleven grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jacob, Sarah, Bryce, Brittany, Amanda, Zachary, Hayley, David, Lydia and Isabella; six great-grandchildren, Jesika, Trinity, Logan, Zane, Katelyn and Audrey; three brothers, Johnny Hodges and wife Debbie of Princeton, Buster Hodges of Kegley, Lawrence Hodges and wife Melinda of Princeton; two sisters, Faye Bailey and husband Herman of Montcalm, Effie Cardwell and husband Paul of Rock; several very close nieces and nephews; and a very special friend and caregiver, Dolly Lane who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Joyce Tedder officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Thompson, Melan Grubb, Jacob Phillips, Jeremiah Phillips, Bryce Phillips and Zachary Hodges. on November 21, 2011.2

She is survived by five children, Donna Anderson of Salt Lake City, Susan Golubich of Las Vegas, Cheryl Iacuaniello of Las Vegas, Donald Shank of Hemet, Calif., Daniel Shank of Tocqueville, Utah; two brothers, James Cole and Fred Cole; four sisters, Bonnie Colvin, Margaret Miller, Phyllis Cole and Dreama Pittman; 11 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was a very active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregations in California and Nevada. Rosemary loved her children who were the focus of her life. She was an excellent cook. An avid historical reader, she found fascination in all kinds of history and carried that into a love of exploring various historical sites throughout California. Rosemary loved the outdoors finding the beauty in flowers and trees. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to her daughters who cared for her and the many others who have assisted and supported her over the years. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, West Entrance, 4051 N. Cimarron, Las Vegas, NV 89129. on April 29, 2008.2
