Wimmer and Elvira Augustal "Augusta" Blankenship, on July 14, 1992 at Emporia, Virginia.6,2,4 Grier Alexander Siceloff died on June 3, 1995 at Anderson, Anderson Co., South Carolina, at age 78.1,2,3,7 He Grier Alexander Siceloff, 78, formerly of Statesville, N.C., and Anderson, S.C., died Saturday (June 3, 1995) at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Anderson. Born in Iredell County, N.C., on Sept. 17, 1916, he was the son of Edward R. and Jettie (McHargue) Siceloff. He was a retired textile manufacturing supervisor. His first wife, Dallas (Rash) Siceloff, preceded him in death on May 28, 1985. Surviving are his widow, Ruth (Bland) Siceloff of Weyers Cave; a son, Tony J. Siceloff of Graham, N.C; a daughter, Sue S. Tomlinson of Anderson; four brothers, James B. of Lavonia, Ga., Sim Siceloff of Myrtle Beach, S.C., John C. and Colon E. Siceloff, both of Statesville; three sisters, Ollie Templeton and Gwendolyn Reid, both of Statesville, and Margaret Bloxom of Chincoteague; a stepson, Chris Bland of Bridgewater; a stepdaughter, B.J. Westervelt of Winchester; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Burial in the Grassy Knob Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Grove, N.C. on June 5, 1995.2

     Gay Nell O'Quinn Gay Nell O'Quinn Henry, age 65, passed away peacefully on April 2nd, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents James H. O'Quinn, Zettie Mullins O'Quinn, and her husband, Michael L. Henry. Although a native of Clintwood, Virginia, she lived the majority of her life in Roanoke. Gay Nell was an energetic, generous, loving, spirited woman who worked tirelessly to care for those she loved. For many years, she was a caregiver for her mother and her husband. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she provided 25 years of service to South Roanoke Nursing Home. Many homeless cats were rescued, adopted, and loved by Gay Nell. Possessing a wonderful sense of humor, Gay Nell was a keen observer of human nature and a talented story teller. Her everyday experiences became hilarious anecdotes for the listener. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: entertaining family and friends, sitting in the sunshine, cooking a delicious meal, walking along the seashore, and reading a good book with her cat curled up on her lap. Those left to cherish her memory include: one sister, Glenda Fulbright and husband Jim, of Johnson City, TN; one brother, Dennis O'Quinn and wife Ruth of Clintwood, VA; sister-in-law Rosemary Thomas and husband Ray of Buchanan, VA, and several nieces and nephews. Special cousins include: Prentice Mullins, Gerald and Joyce Ann Shortt, Roger and Joyce O'Quinn, and Eveleen Shortt. Dear friends include: Brenda and Douglas Swindall, Vella and Carroll Bowyer, Carol and Charles Caston, Ruth and Tom Casey, Mary and David Slusher, Neil and Julie Roberson, many special friends at South Roanoke Nursing Home, and kind neighbors Linda and Benny Gibson, and Derwin Hall. The family extends special thanks to Mr. Butch Carter, the compassionate staff of South Roanoke Nursing Home, and Blue Ridge Cancer Care physicians and staff.3 She was born on October 9, 1948 at Dickenson Co., Virginia.1,2 As of September 4, 1976,her married name was Henry.1 She married Michael Leroy Henry, son of Dewey William Henry and Hazel Irene Manning, on September 4, 1976 at Roanoke, Virginia.4,1,3 Gay Nell O'Quinn died on April 2, 2014 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 65.3,5
