     Betty Jean Rodgers Betty Poff passed away Nov. 2, 2019 at Covenant Specialty Hospital. Betty was born Feb. 4, 1938 to Joe and Faye Rodgers in Kerrville Tx. Betty grew up in the hill country where she went on to attend Tivy High School and it was there she met the love of her life Joe Poff. Betty and Joe later married and moved to New York City while Joe served in the US Army. Upon Joe being discharged from the army they moved to Lubbock Texas to start their family and live a long happy life together. Betty took great pride in her home and raising her two sons. After her boys were older she took a job at what was then Methodist Hospital working in the physicians lounge for many years. Upon retiring Betty and Joe took great pleasure in working around their home and spending time with their grandson James. Betty was a member of St Lukes Methodist Church where she looked forward to attending services and worshiping the lord every Sunday. Betty was proceeded in death by parents and her brother, Joe Rodgers Jr. and his wife Laverne of Blanco, Texas. Mr. Conner was an avid WVU Mountaineer Fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing, NASCAR racing and camping with family and friends at Moncove Lake in Monroe County, W.Va. Most of all, he loved his family. Burial will follow in the Conner Family Cemetery just off the Kegley Trestle Road near Kegley on the family farm.
