His Social Security Number was 232-16-6030.8 Edward Reado Hayes was buried at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.9 He married Etta Campbell.4 Edward Reado Hayes was born on December 28, 1908 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia.8,5 He died on January 13, 1975 at South Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 66.3 He Three deaths, one in Kanawha County, and a sledding accident that critically injured a Dunbar area man have been reported to state police in the aftermath of West Virginia's worst snow storm of the winter. Dead are Edward R. Hayes, 66, of Charleston Rt. 2, Davis Creek: Lawrence J. Cornwell, 55, of Independence in Preston County, and Mrs. Walter Evans, 73, of the Clarksburg area. Kenny E. Schaible, 35, of 1017 Finney Hollow west of Dunbar, suffered a head injury while sledding near his home Monday. He was in critical condition today at Charleston General Hospital. The accident report came as Kanawha Valley residents dug out from 8 to 10 inches of snow which fell Sunday and Monday. The mercury dipped to 13 degrees this morning in Charleston and while the National Weather Service at Kanawha Airport predicted no additional accumulation, a spokesman did say there "would not be any major temperature increase in the area for the next few days." State police said Hayes of Davis Creek was dead on arrival last night at Thomas Memorial Hospital. Troopers said he had-been shoveling snow and fell off a bridge near his home and fell into the icy water. His death was related to the storm. No autopsy was scheduled. Hayes was a retired employee of Union Carbide at the Institute plant with 19 years of service, a member of the Church of God at Davis Creek, and a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.
