State police said Hayes of Davis Creek was dead on arrival last night at Thomas Memorial Hospital. Troopers said he had-been shoveling snow and fell off a bridge near his home and fell into the icy water. His death was related to the storm. No autopsy was scheduled. Hayes was a retired employee of Union Carbide at the Institute plant with 19 years of service, a member of the Church of God at Davis Creek, and a lifelong resident of Kanawha County. Frame, 85, of Rootstown passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. She was born September 4, 1934 in Charleston, WV to John and Balcus (Hayes) McCallister. Naomi was a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God and had worked as a nurse at Longmeadow Care Center and Country Place. Survivors include her children, Duane (Susie) Frame, Linda (Terry Mushat) Frame and Woody (Cindy) Frame; grandchildren, Steven, Timothy, Amanda, James and Matthew Frame and Matthew Mushat; great grandchildren, Austin and Kodi Frame and Spencer and Piper Cross; and siblings, Joyce Smith, Rita Amenta, Donna Jean Henderson and Donald J. McCallister. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elwood Frame in 2018. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Ravenna Assembly of God, 6401 State Route 14 in Ravenna. Reverend Gary Beck will officiate. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown. on January 19, 2020.⁴

Frame, Sr. 86, of Rootstown, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio. He was born April 13, 1932 in Charleston, W. Va. to the late Ira and Hazel (Lee) Frame. Mr. Frame has lived in Rootstown since 1973 and had retired from the Akron Beacon Journal in 1994. He was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Naomi (McCallister) Frame whom he married April 23, 1955; his children, Woody (Cindy) Frame of Beallsville, Ohio, Duane (Susie) Frame of Ravenna, Linda (Terry Mushat) Frame of Brunswick; his grandchildren, Steven, Timothy, Amanda, James, Matthew Frame, Matthew Mushat; his great-grandchildren, Austin, Kodi Frame, Spencer and Piper Cross; sisters, Dolores Pride and Frances Matthews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenwood and James Frame.      Erma Faye McCallister Erma Faye McCallister Bays, September 30, 1936 - February 07, 2016, 79, of South Charleston, passed away at home, February 7, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John and Virginia (Hayes) McCallister. In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Cantley and Carol Griffiths; and her infant son, Robert Blaine Gillispie, Jr. She retired from Columbia Gas after 22 years of service. Erma enjoyed being outside working in her flowers. She was full of love for her family, and had a deep faith in the Lord. She will be missed so much on this earth. She is survived by her husband, Jack L. Bays; daughter, Brenda Fernatt; grandchildren, Christina Roop and Erin Cook; great-grandchildren, Nathan Roop, Brooklyn Roop, Renesmee “Nessie” Roop, and Christian Roop; brother, Joe McCallister; sisters, Naomi Frame of Ohio, Joyce Smith of Alabama, Jean Henderson of Alabama, Rita Amenta of Martinsburg; special nieces, Pam Brown and Joyce Lett. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Craig Cook officiating.
