Fred Watson Christie of 2021 Maiden Lane, Southwest, Roanoke, died Monday in a local nursing home following a long illness. Rev. Christie had made his home in Roanoke since he resigned his church in Charleston, West Virginia, due to illness. He was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and attended McCormick in Chicago. He served Presbyterian churches in Fairmont, West Virginia, Pavilion, New York, and for many years served churches in Charleston, West Virginia. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha Lee Meadows Christie of Roanoke; a son, Ardel Watson Christie of Morristown, New Jersey; two daughters, Mrs. V. E. Marsico of Roanoke and Mrs. Martha Ann Markley, also of Roanoke, a sister, Mrs. Faye Epperly of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving is a grandson, Fred Watson Christie II, and a great-grandson, Fred Watson Christie III, both of Chicago. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. on September 29, 1964.6

Prior to that, he was a substitute editor for the "Chicago Sun Times" while working as the editor of "Philosophy and Religion" departments at the Chicago Publishing Co. He is survived by his wife, Kay, a son, Fred, Long Island, N.Y; a daughter, Barbara Kaye French; a sister, Alice Marsico; and four grandchildren. on January 18, 1985.3

     Albert E. Chatting was buried at Resthaven Memorial Park, 1917 West Main Street, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.3 His Social Security Number was 233-16-1186.11 He was born on October 17, 1917 at Willowton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.11,3 He died on February 12, 1993 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 75.11,3 He Bluefield - Albert E. Chatting, 75, of the Maples Retirement Home, Bluefield, formerly of Princeton, died Friday in a Bluefield hospital. Born in Willowton, he was the son of the late George W. and Maggie Mae Hobbs Chatting. He was a retired construction worker, having been a brick mason assistant for many years. He was for many years an active fiddler in the Gospel and Bluegrass circles. He was a lifelong resident of Mercer County. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Crystal Hale, Violet DePaul, and Leora Belcher and five brothers, Ray Chatting, Benton Chatting, Earl Chatting, Truman Chatting, and Horace chatting. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery on the New Hope Road in Princeton. on February 14, 1993.3

Mr. Thompson was born at Elgood March 3, 1871, the son of the late John David Thompson and Emily Dewese Thompson. Burial In Monte Vista Park. on November 22, 1946.7
