Her death was attributed to acute mycarditis. Born in Franklin county, Virginia, she had made her home here for several years. She was a member of the Brethren church. Surviving are her husband, J. W. Smith, of Garten; two brothers, Henry Prather, of Long Branch, and T. A. Prather, of Garten; and the following children: Walter Smith, Charlie Smith, Arnold Smith, R. V. Smith, William G. Smith, Mrs. Bessie Marie Adkins, and Homer A Smith, all of Garten. Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant View Church Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mr. Martin, pastor of the Gatewood Brethren church will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. on June 2, 1940.4

They moved to Florida in 1955, where Sebert was employed as a machinist and fireman on the railroad. Georgia was a long time attendee of Discovery Church in Wildwood. She was an active volunteer during the time of the church’s bus ministry program. Georgia was preceded in her death by her parents George and Bertha Ellen (Smith) Payne; her husband of 39 years Sebert Paxton; her sister Margaret; her brother Robert (Pete); her daughter Carolyn; and her son Roger. Georgia is survived by her children, Charles (Myra) Paxton, Steve (Debbie) Paxton, Patty (Joey) Collins and daughter-in-law Luellyn; her 10 grandchildren; and her 5 great grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with Pastor George Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Route 1, Fayetteville. Surviving are her children, Carolyn (Okie) Thompson of Crab Orchard, Stephen Sink of Thomas Mountain, Scott (Connie) Sink of Thomas Mountain, Melissa Savage and Companion Keith of Cowen, Stewart (Beverly) Sink of Normantown, Daniel Sink and Fiance Robin of Thomas Mountain, Charles Lee Sink of Thomas Mountain, brothers, Wilbur Smith, Paul Smith, Garrel Smith, sisters, Donzella Atha, Zelda Johnson, Anna Onto, Clara White, grandchildren, Kelly, Frank, Jessica, Ryan, Christina, Kimberly, Eric, Camella, Samantha, Tara, Casey, Cyrus, and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles T. Sink, son, Billy Joe Sink, brothers, Dietz Smith and Edgar Smith. Service will be 11:00am. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Pastor Carmel Sanson officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. on November 19, 2016.4

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the residence. Mr. Smith was born in Fayetteville, West Virginia, son of the late Walter Ed Smith and Lizzie Mae Wheeler Smith. He lived in Bushnell, Florida and Colquitt, Georgia before moving to Webb in 2000. Mr. Smith was formerly employed by General Motors in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dietz Smith. Surviving relatives include his wife, Beulah Waters Smith, three daughters, Deborah Bradley, Colquitt, GA; Donna Shelley (Freddy), Webb; and Carol Myers, DeFuniak Springs, FL; two sons, Lonnie Smith, Colquitt, GA; and Dennis Smith (Sandi), Whitetail, MT; five sisters, Donnie Atha, Zelda Johnson, Clara White, Anna Otto, and Ethelda (Sis) Sink; three brothers, Paul Smith, Wilbur Smith, and Gariel Smith; twenty-nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.4 He married Beulah Walters.4 Edgar Delano Smith was born on March 3, 1935 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3 He died on September 14, 2014 at Webb, Houston Co., Alabama, at age 79.4

He was born June 15, 1918, in Raleigh County, a son of the late Clyde and Ivory Williams Sink. Charles was a retired coal miner with over 40 years of service. A World War II Veteran having served from the start to finish of the war in the U.S. Army for 1 year and 4 years in the Marine Corps. He obtained the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and served on the USS Wyoming. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching and was a champion target shooter. Charles loved listening to big band music, dancing and he had a great sense of humor and was a Protestant by Faith. He is survived by his wife, Ethelda Smith Sink, children, Carolyn (Okie) Thompson of Crab Orchard, Stephen Sink of Thomas Mountain, Scott (Connie) Sink of Thomas Mountain, Melissa Savage and friend Keith of Cowen, Stewart (Beverly) Sink of Normantown, Daniel (Shawana) Sink of Cowen, Charles Sink of Thomas Mountain. 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, son Bill Sink and son-in-law Gene Savage preceded him in death. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by V.F.W. Post 3738 will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. on February 11, 2014.4
