Dixie Myrtle Kirkhart was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wallback, Roane Co., West Virginia.1,3 She Dixie Kirkhart White, 92, of Spencer, died April 7, 2015 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer. Dixie was born January 26, 1923 at Wanego, Roane County. She was the daughter of the late Wiley S. and Eunice Hindman Kirkhart. She was a homemaker. Also, she and her late husband, operated and owned grocery stores and owned White’s Gulf Service in Clendenin, during the 1950’s – 1970’s. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly White Patton and Samuel Sheets; one grandson, Michael Patton and his wife, Veronika Patton; one great granddaughter, Michelle Inna Patton and two brothers, Everett Holly Kirkhart and Paul Kirkhart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. White; four sisters, Evelyn Kirkhart, Lillie Drake, Mabel Lloyd and Gertie Gilpen; and one brother, Richard Kirkhart. The funeral procession will leave to go to Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wallback, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Charles D. White, who died in 1972.1 She was born on January 26, 1923 at Wanego, Roane Co., West Virginia.1,3,2 As of December 24, 1942,her married name was White.2 She married Charles Delmer “Chuck” White, son of Charles Edward White and Mae E.
