Surviving are one daughter, Shirley (Julian) Dunford; one son, Mark (Lynette) Poff; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. this evening, Saturday, February 28, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Bob Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, in Bluewell, WV. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Oak Forest for the loving care given to Ms. Poff during her stay. on February 28, 2009.1

The body will be taken from the Dodd-Payne Funeral Home to the church one hour before the services. on November 4, 1961.6

Born Oct. 25, 1895 at Ghent, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Ann Basham McKinney. She was a member of the First Church of God in Fayetteville. Surviving are a son, Edward A., Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Bess and Mrs. Nancy Jeffers, both of Fayetteville; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Edith Emmons, Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Rae Underwood and Mrs. Violet Bartuslak, both of Beckley; five brothers, Wesley, Phoenix, Ariz., Isaac, Beckley, Robert, MacArthur, Okla., Grandview and James McKinney, Roanoke, Va; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Wills, Pipestem, Mrs. Lula Keaton and Mrs. Eliza Birchfield, both of Lester and Mrs. Sarah Farley, Baltimore, Md; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Church of God in Fayetteville with the Rev. William Dreger and the Rev. Charles Thompson in charge. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. The body will be taken from the Dodd-Payne Funeral Home in Fayetteville to the church one hour before the service. on September 22, 1963.3

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years, Nadine M. Poff of Fayetteville; two sons, Allen R. Poff of Gauley Bridge, and Joseph D. Poff of Fayetteville; one sister, Nancy Jeffries of Richmond, Va; two grandchildren, Edward Allen Poff II of Fayetteville, and Rachelle L. Legg of Hilltop; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Lee Holliday officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
