Paxton; daughter, Patricia Gale Dorsey; and brothers, James, Bob and Jerry Smith. Surviving are her son, Gary Paxton of Summersville; two daughters, Carolyn Hope Litton of Gassaway and Lois Groves of Canvas; three sisters, Shirley Smith of Louisiana, Lin Reavis of South Carolina and Kay Mann of Charleston; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, at Waters Funeral Chapel, Summersville, with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Glade Creek. on October 8, 2013.3

He was born September 28, 1921 in Swandale, West Virginia to the late Ervin and Gertie Rogers. Virgil proudly served as a Sergeant from December 28, 1941 to December 1, 1945 in the 4146th AAF Base Unit. Moving to Delaware in 1953, he worked at the General Motors plant for 30 years. He attended the Wilmington Church of God for 55 years where he used to serve on the church council and as an usher for many years. Along with his wife Winogene , who passed in 2010, and his son, Michael (2008), he is predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Baughman and son-in-law, Jimmy Huffman. Virgil is survived by his sons, Terry Rogers and Ralph Rogers; daughters, Connie Huffman, Brenda McElroy (Kenny), Mary Ann Rogers and Felicia Rogers; daughter-in-law, Loretta Rogers; sisters, Mary Nicholas, Opal Dieroff, Delcie Keen, Bernice Canter; 10 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Jack Wallace Hamrick on March 22, 1949 at Lizemores, Clay Co., West Virginia.2,1,6 Beulah Faye Paxton died on July 11, 2014 at West Virginia at age 85.6 She To several she was "Mom" "Mommy" or "Momma". To many she was "Grandmother" or "Maw Maw" and she was cherished by all who knew her. Beulah Hamrick, 85, of Maysel, WV, joined our Father in heaven on July 11, 2014. On that afternoon, her family gathered round her in prayer and singing. Beulah loved music and with the last sound of "Amazing Grace" she gave a bright and jovial smile as her days on earth were fulfilled and her earthly pain ended. Throughout Beulah's life, she walked with God. As long as she was able, she regularly attended both Maysel Missionary Baptist Church in Maysel and Unity Gospel Tabernacle in Stinson. She was a retired cook of Clay County Schools and also a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the VFW Post No. 4419. Beulah will be greeted in Heaven by her husband, Rev. Jack Wallace Hamrick; her grandson, Matthew Hamrick; her parents, Howard and Florina Paxton; and several brothers, sisters, and friends. Her children and their spouses, Janet and Bobby Williams, Randal and Jamie Hamrick, Ronnie Hamrick, Allen and Michelle Hamrick, Geoff and Anissa Hamrick and Carmela and Greg Smith are left to carry on Beulah's magnificent legacy. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Beulah will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her life and works will be celebrated by all of those that she leaves behind. Funeral service will be held Noon Monday, July 14 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay with Minister Geoff Hamrick and Minister Mike Long officiating. Burial will be in the Fitzwater Cemetery, Summersville, WV. on July 13, 2014.6

He was the son of the late Rev. Jesse Howard and Florina Belle Hamrick Paxton and was born at Swandale February 28, 1939. He was a former auto body repairman and owner of Paxton Plaque & Trophy in Summersville. Lloyd was a Nicholas County commissioner for eight years, a past Summersville Senior Citizen president, a member of the Ruritans and the Summersville Masonic Lodge No. 76. He was a Christian and attended the Calvary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Denzil, Leonard and Lee; and sisters, Winogene Rogers, Bertha Martin, Magalene and Mary Madalene Paxton. Surviving are wife, Betty Lou Adkins Paxton; daughter, Tammy Paxton; son, Darren Paxton, all of Summersville; four grandchildren, Whittney (Noah) Holcomb, Joshua and Taylor Miller and Briar Paxton; brother, Jesse (Patsy) Paxton of Summersville; three sisters, Beulah Hamrick, Wanda (Norval) Acree, all of Clay, and Helen (Harry) Davis of Birch River. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Joe Shaffer officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Glade Creek. on August 28, 2012.3
