     Saralyn Eary Saralyn Eary Ward was born on June 22, 1920, at Charleston. A longtime resident of Bonita Springs, Florida. Saralyn died on Sept. 28, 2016, at Bowers Hospice House in her 96th year. She was the daughter of late Jesse R. Eary and Ella Smithson Eary. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Barbara Jean Dillon (Kelly Dillon) of Beckley. A step-daughter, Judy Mae Porter Lafferty is deceased; preceded in death as well by Donald Shelly Porter (2nd husband); two brothers, Jesse Junior Eary and Charles Eary; step great grandson, Matthew Wade Kirk, and a great-great-grandson Jackson Grubb; Also survived by grandchildren, Dee Roderick (Roddy) Baber (Sue), Robert (Bobby) Baber, and Betsy Lynn Baber; step grandchildren: Sherry Lafferty Ball (Richard); Gary Ronald (Ronnie) Lafferty II (Stephanie); Brett Lafferty; and Teresa Lafferty Kartheiser (John); great-grandchildren, Roderick Shane Baber (Melissa), Diane Crump, William Casey Baber, Christopher Thomas Kelly Baber (Miranda); and Trace Miles Baber; step great- grandchildren, Daniel Hanna, Tiffany Williams, Gary Abram Lafferty, Rachel Marie Atkins, Samuel Richmond Kartheiser and Phoebe Mae Kartheiser; great great-grandchildren, Seth, Sarah, Tyler, Bobby Jean, Shaylyn, Talan, and Tegan; step great-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, Noah, Cameron, and Abbi; very special niece, Tracy Dillon Parks (Dave) and her children, Dillon Allen Parks and Addison Grace Parks. Saralyn retired from Southern Bell and Naples Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place and private services and interment will be at the Alderson Cemetery, Alderson WV. Saralyn was a beautiful and classy lady, mother, and grandmother that touched many lives. She will be greatly missed.2 She was buried at Alderson Cemetery, Alderson, Greenbrier Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on June 22, 1920 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,2 As of October 5, 1935,her married name was McGuffin.1 She married Roger Affleck McGuffin, son of John Harvey McGuffin and Rosa Ellen "Rosie" McNeil, on October 5, 1935 at Huntington, Cabell Co., West Virginia.1 Saralyn Eary died on September 28, 2016 at Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 96.2

     Alvin Theodore "Teddy" McGuffin Sr. was buried at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Geauga Co., Ohio.7 He Alvin “Ted” T. McGuffin, age 84, of Wickliffe, passed away peacefully with his family at his side November 27, 2020. Ted was born on April 17, 1936 in Huntington, WV to the late Alvin and Hazel of Prosperity, WV. Ted worked as a Construction Worker and was employed by Great Lakes Construction for 35 years. He was a member of Country Baptist Church in Mentor. Ted enjoyed going to Classic Car Shows and also enjoyed working on them as well. He loved yardwork and took pride in making his yard look pristine. Ted was the beloved husband of Diane (nee Boblett); dearest father of Alvin, Jr; devoted grandfather of Rachael (Geoff) Zevnik, Robyn (Joe) Hensch, Angela and great grandfather of Abby, Kendall, Ethan and Shaun; dear brother of Robert (Marlene), Roger (Helen) and Gary (Theresa); dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother James and sister Sandy Dillon.
