He has contributed a Montana dryhead agate to the Smithsonian Institute. Mr. Milne, 84, of 3226 West Viola lane, died Sunday in Billings Deaconess Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Knox, Ind., a son of William and Dagmar Milne, he lived on a dairy farm in Hammond, Ind., until his family moved to Red Water Creek in Richland County in 1917. He graduated from the first class in Richey high school and the state normal college in Dillon, receiving a lifetime teaching certificate in 1935. He received a degree in industrial arts from Oregon state. On Aug. 9, 1932, he married Rose Chatham in Terry. Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert of Billings; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Patricia) Hitchcock of Seattle, Wash; a brother, George of Sidney; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with interment of cremains in Mountview Cemetery. on March 20, 1989.⁶

Dahl and his wife Amy, Stephen James Dahl, both of Saegertown, three grandchildren Alexa Dahl, Conner Dahl and Adam Dahl. In addition to her mother and her husband, James, of 40 years, Darlene was preceded in death by two sisters June Tennant and Joyce Higdon. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 6-7 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM with Rev. Douglas Messerall, Pastor, officiating.
