     David Melvin Epperley Graveside services of David Melvin Epperley at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, Oklahoma. Son of the late Melvin Lee Epperley and Ruby Mae (Gearhart) Epperley, David was born on January 11, 1951 in Christiansburg, Virginia and grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. David moved to Marietta in 1996 from Boyd, Texas. A self employed paint contractor, David had a passion for helping others, in his spare time he could be found working on old houses, painting and doing maintenance that the resident could not afford to do. He also enjoyed playing slot machines, singing and playing music; but maybe his favorite was dancing. David enjoyed life, his family and many friends. He was always there to brighten the lives of others. He passed away on July 5, 2018 at a Dallas, Texas hospital, at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 24 days. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janana of the home; sons, David Ray Epperley, Jr. and wife, Ruth and Randall (Randy) Dean Epperley and wife, Rose; daughter, Crystal Epperley Boyd and husband, John; seven grandchildren; Tessa, Coletyn, Hannah, Alison, Ethan, Hayden and Catelyn; sisters, Lockie Eva (Sue) Difalco and husband, Richard and Shirley May Morris and husband, Lonnie. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Fay Epperley, brother, Benny Alfred Epperley and a nephew, Curtis Benjamin Epperley.1 He was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, Love Co., Oklahoma.1 He was born on January 11, 1951 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,4 He married Janana Vestana Dugger on May 9, 1978 at Tarrant Co., Texas.2 David Melvin Epperley and Janana Vestana Dugger were divorced on September 8, 1980 at Tarrant Co., Texas.5 David Melvin Epperley died on July 5, 2018 at Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas, at age 67.1

     Catherine Hogshead was born on October 27, 1951 at Aiken, Aiken Co., South Carolina.1 As of circa 1979,her married name was Carpenito.1 She married Thomas Anthony Carpenito, son of Anthony P. Carpenito and Betty Jane Epperly, circa 1979.1 Catherine Hogshead died on August 25, 2005 at Raleigh, Wake Co., North Carolina, at age 53.1 She RALEIGH - Catherine “Cathy” Hogshead Carpenito, 53, passed into the hands of God on Thursday, August 25, 2005 after a five year battle with cancer. Born on October 27, 1951 in Aiken, South Carolina, Cathy was the daughter of Catherine Gierhart Hogshead and the late Thomas Hamilton Hogshead, Jr. Cathy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Thomas Anthony Carpenito; sons, Thomas Drury Carpenito and Patrick Brady Carpenito; daughter, Emily Gorrell Carpenito; and mother, Catherine Gierhart Hogshead of Bridgewater, VA; Cathy is further survived by her sister, three brothers, and their families: Anne Hogshead Aleman of Durham, NC and her five children and grandchildren; Thomas Hamilton Hogshead, III of Greensboro, NC and his two sons and grandchildren; Harry Shockley Hogshead and wife, Joy Fawley Hogshead of Churchville, VA and their two children; and Richard McChesney Hogshead of San Francisco, CA and his two children. Cathy graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors in Sociology in 1973 after which she worked as a medical social worker in Wilmington, DE. In 1978, Cathy met Tom, and the two fell in love. The two were married on April 14, 1979 and have since been happily married for 26 years. Cathy was a devout wife, mother, friend, and Christian and has been an inspiration to everyone she has touched. She devoted much of her life to service, volunteering at an AIDS clinic in Wilmington, DE, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network, and countless church activities. on August 28, 2005.1
