Oakey and Son in Salem with Pastors Nicholas Shaffer and Marshall Allen officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Puckett served his country in the United States Army. He was a life member of the American Legion; a life member of the Fraternal order of Roanoke Moose; a member of the N.C. Beach Buggy Association; a dedicated member of the NRA; and an avid Racing fan. Mr. Puckett Retired from General Electric after 33 years of service. He also retired from the city of Salem with over 30 years of dedicated service. Amos greatly loved his family and will be missed, and as Amos would say, "Time don't wait on you!" Internment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. on September 29, 2010.5
