     Darrell Ross Gillespie was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.² He married Delilah Ruth Tolliver, daughter of Jesse Eli Tolliver and Carrie Deloris Lusk.^1,2 Darrell Ross Gillespie was born on October 28, 1952 at Crab Orchard, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^3,2 He died on May 21, 2008 at West Virginia at age 55.^3,2 He On Wednesday, May 21, 2008, Darrell Ross Gillespie passed away. He was 55 years of age. Darrell was born Oct. 28, 1952, at Crab Orchard, the youngest of four children born to the late Forrest B. and Freda Carte Gillespie. In addition to his parents, his sister, Alice Williams, also preceded him in death. A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1970, Darrell was a member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. A former coal miner and welder, he last worked at Consolidated Cable. Darrell was the dear husband of Delilah Ruth Tolliver Gillespie; the fond brother of David Gillespie and his wife, Tammy, and Kay Pegram and her husband, Michael, all of Beckley; and the son-in-law of Jesse and Carrie Tolliver of Pierpoint. A large extended family also survives. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Revs. Bill Calhoun and Scott Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. The family will receive friends noon until time of service. Pallbearers will be Scott Pegram, Robert Hilton, Brian and Brad Gillespie, Darren Copley and Rick Dixon. on May 23, 2008.²

     Odessa Marie Likens was buried at Mordue Cemetery, Whitesville, Boone Co., West Virginia.^3,1,2 She was born on December 2, 1944 at West Virginia.¹ She died on May 12, 1961 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 16.^1,2 She Whitesville - Odessa M. Lykens, 16, of Dameron, Raleigh County, died yesterday in a Beckley hospital after a long illness. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Lykens of Dameron; four brothers, Ronald, Larry, Stacey and Everett Jr. at home; one sister, Pamela at home; her grandparents, Mrs. Ida Lykens of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Jim Williams of Marmet. Services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in Armstrong Funeral Home at Whitesville by the Rev. Willie August. Burial will be in the Mordue Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. on May 13, 1961.²

     Janet Gayle Ashby Janet "Gayle" Ashby Samples, 73, of Elkview passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 after a short illness. Gayle was a faithful member of Antioch Advent Christian Church, Aaron's Fork, where she played the piano and enjoyed singing. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles "Chuck" Samples; parents, Rev. Lilbren M. Ashby and Virgie Paxton Ashby; and four brothers and five sisters; and son-in-law, Randy Blackshire. Gayle is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Regina "Gina Lynn" Blackshire. Wonderful granddaughters Mandy KC Paige and Bob Paige; and Stephanie Blackshire and Shane Harrison, wonderful grandson, and wife, Joshua and Jessica Blackshire, great grandchildren, Ainsley Jade Call, Paisley Harris, Justin Dale Phillips, Cody Allen Phillips, Remington Paige, Jayden Warren Blackshire. Burial will be in the Baxter Cemetery, Aaron's Fork.² She was buried at Baxter Cemetery, Aarons Fork, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She was born on February 21, 1946 at West Virginia.^4,3 As of circa 1962,her married name was Samples.² She married Charles Francis "Chuck" Samples circa 1962.² Janet Gayle Ashby died on September 21, 2019 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 73.²

     Elizabeth Marshall married Samuel Austin, son of Henry Austin and Elizabeth Lyles, before February 19, 1731.¹ As of before February 19, 1731,her married name was Austin.¹ Elizabeth Marshall died after 1774.¹

     Henry Austin was born before 1687 at England.² He married Elizabeth Lyles circa 1707.¹ Henry Austin left a will on January 18, 1743; Last Will and Testament of Henry Austin of Calvert County, Maryland. In the name of God Amen. I Henry Austin of Calvert County in the province of Maryland, being in good health of body and of sound and perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following:

First, I desire that my debts be paid and discharged at the discretion of my Excors hereafter named and as touching the Temporal Estate that it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I do give and bequeath in manner and form
following:

I do give and bequeath unto my son Samuel Austin one half of my estate of what sort or kind soever. The other half I do give and bequeath unto Henry and Elinor Austin, son and daughter of Henry Austin deceased, to be equally divided between them when they come to full age, but if one or both of them should die before they arrive at full age then his or her parts I do give and bequeath unto Henry Austin son of Samuel Austin.

I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife Jane Austin one Negro girl called Janey during the natural life of her the said Jane Austin, and at her decease I do give and bequeath the said Janey unto Elizabeth the daughter of Samuel Austin. And the first child that the said Negro girl brings I do give and bequeath unto Mary the daughter of Samuel Austin.

I do give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Lyle daughter of William Lyle two young ewes.

And I do hereby constitute, ordain and appoint my loving wife and my son Samuel Austin joint executors of this my last will and testament, revoking and disannulling all other will or wills heretofore made, and I desire that my body may be decently buried on the plantation that I now dwell upon between my late wife and daughter.

     Edward McAllister was born on February 20, 1903 at Swissvale, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He married Carrie Louisa Snee, daughter of Harry Stephen Snee and Carrie Louisa Cramer, on June 3, 1930 at Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania.¹ Edward McAllister died on August 12, 1965 at Murrysville, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania, at age 62.¹

     Her Social Security Number was 184-14-2386.² Doris Gordon was born on January 4, 1922.² As of July 6, 1940,her married name was Baker.¹ She married George M. Baker, son of Harry Walter Baker and Carrie Louisa Snee, on July 6, 1940.¹ Doris Gordon died on April 28, 1997 at age 75.²
