In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Eleanor Cottrell Huffman; one sister, Ethelene Larch; and three brothers, Paul, Bob and Jimmy Huffman. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jerry Board officiating. Burial will be at the Droddy-Canterbury Cemetery, Walton. Visiting hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. on January 4, 2010.7

Dodd, 66, of Elkview, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. He was a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School in 1966 and a member of the varsity football team, where he received special recognition. He served in the Army from 1967 to 1969, including the Vietnam War. Upon returning from the military, he worked for Appalachian Power and later had a construction and remodeling company with his son, Marc. He was also retired from Laborers Union Local 1353. He loved fishing and gardening and going on numerous vacations to Florida with his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and Buddy Scalf, and most of all spending time with his great-grandsons. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Jo; mother, Juanita Smith Dodd; father, Blake Dodd; brother, Gary Dodd; and niece, Brenda Dodd. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jo-Ann Schoolcraft Dodd, and loving son, Marc Dodd; granddaughter, Joanna Paige Randolph; great-grandsons, Austin and Matthew Randolph, who were light of his life; sister, Connie Fields (Ted); brother, Ronald Dodd (Karen); sister-in-law, Jean Scalf (Buddy); brother-in-law, John Schoolcraft (Lois); nephews, Brian and Paul Fields, Ronnie Dodd, Jonathan Dodd (Liz), John and Phillip Schoolcraft, Tom Hanna (Jeanie) and Michael Dodd; and niece, Cindy Dodd. Special thanks to Bob Koontz and Larry Robinson and also to Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Elkview Baptist Church with Pastor David Keeney officiating. Burial will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney, with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin.      Murray Franklin "Frank" Taylor Frank Taylor, 46, of Washington, Wood County, died Friday in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg He was born in Dunbar. He attended Bethel Baptist Church, Washington. He was a welder for Kaiser Aluminum and formerly employed by Union Carbide. He was a 1957 graduate of Walton High School. Surviving: wife, Barbara Ann Paxton Taylor; son, Michael at home; daughters, Mrs. Rex Whited of Mineral Wells and Miss Sheila Taylor at home; parents, Murray and Edna Moore Taylor of Walton; two grandsons.1 His Social Security Number was 233-60-2172.4 He was born on August 7, 1939 at Dunbar, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2,3 He married Barbara Ann Paxton, daughter of Virgil Lee "Whitey" Paxton and Alta Faye Dodd, on August 16, 1959 at Roane Co., West Virginia.3 Murray Franklin "Frank" Taylor died on December 20, 1985 at Parkersburg, Wood Co., West Virginia, at age 46.2,1
