She had been ill since early April and was in a serious condition for the past few weeks. The daughter of Frank and Tavina Reeder, the deceased was born in Tipton County on March 14, 1862. She was first married to John Mitchell who died 11 years ago. Mrs. Hughes was a member of the United Brethren Church here. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Belle Davis, Elwood, Mrs. Jesse Buckles, Anderson, James Mitchell, Elwood, and Esther Mitchell, Elwood, and 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Mary White, living south of Elwood, also survives. The body was removed here from Anderson to a local under taking establishment. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Pilgrim Holiness Church with the Rev. Polly Couch Bowman of Hemlock in charge assisted by Rev. L. G. D. Wertz of the United Brethren Church of the city. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery. on July 12, 1940.2

Besides the mother he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Henderson and Mrs. Rebecca Miller, both of Elwood. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence of the mother Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. Jesse Hayhurst, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness church, and burial will be made in the city cemetery. on June 26, 1930.4

Burial will follow in Kokomo's Crown Point Cemetery. on November 12, 1953.1

Burial was in the Curtisville cemetery. The deceased was born on a farm southwest of Windfall now owned by a brother David Hill, on January 13, 1888 being one of several children born to Noah and Esther Hill and in 1910 was united in marriage to Miss Pearl Lawson of the Windfall community. Shortly after their, marriage they moved to Elwood where Mr. Hill had for many years been employed in the tin plate mills. About a year ago his health failed he suffering a nervous breakdown and it was necessary to place him in the hospital at Indianapolis for treatment.
