Watson Sr. and Andrew W. Watson, and son-in-law Robert K. Kennedy. He was also predeceased by his sisters Eleanor W. Bryant, Lois W. Skinnell, and Frances W. Peters. Bob is survived by his daughters Harriet W. Kennedy, Anita W. Lumsden, and fiancé, Joey Ogle, and step-daughter Deborah Welch Hans (Steve), six grandchildren, Vicki K. Whitley and husband, Jeff, Lisa A. Davis, Robert A. Watson, Jr. and wife, Molly, Doug R. Kennedy and wife, Kristy, Krystal L. Turner and husband, Kevin, R. Andrew Lumsden; 11 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Virginia Magee (William); many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and his faithful and loving aide. Bob proudly served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and flower and vegetable gardener. He was well known for his humor and always had a joke to tell to his family and friends. He volunteered at Manna Ministries and the Rescue Mission of Roanoke for a number of years. Bob always lent a helping hand, and was generous to those in need. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 5:45 p.m. for the service. on March 31, 2010.⁴
