Danny Lee Chase Danny Lee Chase, 63, of Winfield passed away Sunday December 21, 2014. Danny is preceded in death by his father Harley Chase and his sister Susan Kindhart. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Suzette Chase and their six children: Tonya and her husband Don Browning of Springfield IL, Danny Chase II of Winfield, Kati Chase of Morehead City, NC, Derek and his wife Brittany Chase of Racine, Amber and her husband JD Nunn of Winfield, and Beth Chase of Winfield and seven grandchildren; Bradley, Brooklyn, Jordan, Jackson, Lilly, Rylee Jo and Jayden. He is also survived by his mother Irene Chase of Scott Depot, his brother Andy Elmore of Calhan CO and a large extended family. Danny worked as a radio disc jockey at WVKV in Hurricane and WEMM in Huntington before becoming a reserve police officer for the Winfield Police Department. Danny loved his community and served as a volunteer in many capacities including serving in many capacities at Winfield High School sporting events, commissioner for the adult softball league and a member of the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a Silver Star Parent of The Salvation Army. Memorial service for Danny will be at Winfield Church of the Nazarene on Saturday December 27, 2014 at 1:00pm with Pastor Abraham Williams officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00am to 1:00pm.2 He was born on December 31, 1951 at West Virginia.4 He married Suzette Unknown circa 1975.2 Danny Lee Chase died on December 21, 2014 at West Virginia at age 62.2,4

Betty Jeane Belcher Betty Jeane Mitchell, 87, of Princeton, died peacefully Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Princeton Community Hospital with her family at her side. Born October 30, 1937, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Belcher & Leora Chatting Belcher. Betty was a graduate of Princeton High School and Concord College receiving her degree in Elementary Education. She had taught school for 28 years, retiring from Ramsey Elementary School in Bluefield. Betty was an active member of Willowbrook Baptist Church in Princeton, serving in many facets of the church. She loved sports, especially the Princeton Tigers & West Virginia University Mountaineers. Most of all, she loved her Lord, her family, oh yes, her grandchildren & great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her first husband, Carl J. Shrader, second husband Jimmy Mitchell, a brother C.W. Belcher Jr. Those left to cherish her memory, two daughters, Pamela Jeane Shrader & husband Mark Edward Large, & Dreama Ufland & husband Tony Ufland, three grandchildren, Christi Leigh Farley, Christopher & Jacob Sweat, two step grandchildren, Zachary & Joshua Ufland. 3 great grandchildren, Clinton & Emilia Sweat, & Elease Ufland. Eight siblings, Freddie & Lou Belcher, Buddy & Rachel Belcher, Jerry & Esther Blecher, Peggy & Jim Robinette, Helen & Rick Fullbright, Johnny & Penny Belcher, Frankie Belcher, Ricky & Janet Belcher along with a host of nieces and nephews & sister in law Peggy Belcher. He was born in Bluefield and was the son of Gladys Proffitt Shrader and the late Arthur Johnson Shrader. He was a machinist for West Virginia Armature Company. Calvin Woodrow Belcher Jr. was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.2 He was born on April 26, 1936 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.2,3 He married Peggy Sue Oakes on January 4, 1958 at Sparta, Alleghany Co., North Carolina.1,2 Calvin Woodrow Belcher Jr. died on August 17, 2016 at Asheboro, Randolph Co., North Carolina, at age 80.2 He ASHEBORO, N.C. - Calvin W. Belcher Jr. 80, of Asheboro, NC, formerly of Willowbrook Road in Princeton, WV, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016, with his family at his side. Born April 26, 1936, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Calvin W. Belcher Sr. and Leora Kate Chatting Belcher. Calvin was a graduate of Princeton High School where he was an outstanding athlete in all sports. He later graduated from Concord College with a BS in education and Marshall University with a MA in Guidance and Counsel. Calvin played basketball for Princeton High school and Concord College. He was the first player to score 1000 career points while playing for Princeton. He also lettered in baseball, football and track. He was voted into the Princeton High School sports Hall of Fame in the year of 2000. Calvin taught and coached at Peterstown and Athens High schools. He worked as a counselor with the WV Division department of Rehabilitation and served as the Administrator for Southern WV Regional Health Council Mental Health Program. He later served as the Administrator of OH-9 ambulance program and was appointed the first EMS administrator by Governor Arch Moore. He established and operated Modern Health Care Options which was eventually sold to Princeton Community Hospital, and he also became the first West Virginian to receive national certification as a Home Health administrator. He then served as Administrator of Princeton Community Hospital's Home Health program for 9 years, until his retirement in 2002. Many years ago, Calvin headed up the building committee of the Willowbrook Baptist Church. For the last 30 years, he has been an active member of the First Church of God on Mahood Avenue in Princeton while serving on the Board of Trustees and was the board's chairman for the past 9 years. He loved his church family with all of his heart and cherished his family and always put them first. Calvin had been a lifelong resident of Princeton until moving to Asheboro, NC in July 2016. Those left to cherish his memory: his loving and caring wife of 58 years, Peggy Sue Oakes Belcher; three daughters: Vickie Farmer, Beverly Belcher and Amy Parady; nine brothers and sisters: Betty Mitchell, Freddie Belcher, Buddy Belcher, Jerry Belcher, Johnny Belcher, Frankie Belcher, Rickey Belcher, Peggy Robinette and Helen Fulbright; five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Inurnment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on August 19, 2016.2
