     Danny Ray Wilson Sr. was buried at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, Virginia.³ He Danny Ray Wilson, Sr., 63, of Blairs, Va., passed from this life on Monday, November 12, 2018. He was born June 11, 1955, to the late Mary Carter Wilson Cross and the late Roy Wilson, Sr. Mr. Wilson is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Doige Wilson. He loved hunting and fishing, and also enjoyed gardening, cooking and softball. Mr. Wilson will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather – an honest, hardworking family man. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Leslie Wilson (Randy), Tonya Wilson (Daniel), and Carrie Wilson (Josh); his sons, Danny Wilson, Jr. (Stephanie) and Richard Wilson (Rikia); his sisters, Mary Ann Allen and Delores Mayes; his brothers, Roy Wilson, Jr. and Herman Wilson; as well as his grandchildren, Thomas, Nathan, and Cassidy Collins, Michael Touchstone, Jr., Jacob Morris, Hayleigh Sims, and Madison Smith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his brothers, Bobby “Sam” Wilson and William “Chubby” Wilson.      Joyce Ann Bragg Joyce “Granny” A. Simpson, 73, passed away on December 5, 2018, at Virginia Beach Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Joyce was born on May 5, 1945, in Chatham, VA to her parents, Norman and Mary Bragg. She married Roger Conner and later Fitzhugh Simpson. She lived with her son Robert Conner in NC and moved with him to SD where she worked as a cook. She became disabled in 1998, but continued to care for her grandchildren. She moved to Virginia Beach in 2009 where she helped care for her great-grandchildren. Ms. Simpson was a loving, caring person who was a “Granny” to all who knew her. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Brian and Amy Conner; grandchildren April, Crystal, Joshua, Rebekah, and Gabriel; and 7 great-grandchildren. Brooks, Durham, N.C; three daughters, Jeanetta Bray, Durham, Brenda Foster, Snead Ferry, N.C., and Bernice Wilson, Danville; two brothers, Ramsey Brooks and Lloyd Brooks, both of Chatham; one sister, Ruby Brown, Danville; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. on April 23, 1986.³

     Bethel Laverne Wilson was buried at Highland Burial Park, Danville, Virginia.² He Bethel L. Wilson, 76, passed away at the VA Hospital in Salem, Virginia on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. He was born on October 4, 1938 to the late Daniel Wilson and Elsie McDaniel Wilson. He was of the Baptist Faith. He served his country proud in the United States Army as a Sergeant. Bethel was a member of American Legion Post 1097, VFW of Danville and Red Men #124. Bethel worked for Dan River Mills for nine years and then retired from Goodyear as a machine operator. He will be greatly missed. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by beloved wife, Bernice Wilson; three brothers, Wayne Wilson, Derl Wilson and infant brother. Bethel is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Reynolds of Danville, step-daughter, Elizabeth Tiller and husband, Mark; three grandchildren, Heather Reynolds, Paul Gallagher and Krystal Gallagher; one great-grandchild, Autumn Meeks; sister, Linda Thornton and husband, Gerald of Martinsville; brother, Joe Wilson and wife, Evelyn of Danville; step-mother, Frances B. Wilson of Danville.
