Cole, of Huntington; four children, Haskell Riffe, Orlan N. Riffe and Miss Louise Riffe of Lester; and Mrs. J. H. Fleshman, of Glen White; two brothers, John C. Cole, of Norfolk, Virginia; and W. E. Cole, of Sandstone; one sister, Mrs. D. L. Bowling, of St. Albans; and three half-sisters, Mrs. T. C. Waddell, of Jumping Branch; Mrs. C. T. Kismer, of Covington, Virginia; Mrs. C. L. Todd, of Huntington. She is also survived by six grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night. on November 20, 1942.4

Bowling, 29-year-old Terry mine employe, died early yesterday morning in a local hospital following a brief illness due to pneumonia. He was admitted to the hospital April 15. Bowling was employed by the Brockman coal company at Terry. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Hendrix Bowling, three children, Ethel Frances, Jimmie Robert, and Evelyn Maxine, all of Terry; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Bowling, of Winfield, Virginia. The following brothers and sisters are also living: H. C. Bowling, Harvey, West Virginia; O. K. Bowling, Daniels; R. C. Bowling, Theron Bowling, Lucien Bowling and Oris Bowling, all of Winfield; Mrs. Dewey M. Farley and Mrs. Curtis A. Redden, both of Glen Hedrick; and Miss Gladys M. Bowling, Winfield. Funeral services will be held in the Glen Hedrick church Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Reverend Monroe Bowling, of Reuma, and Reverend Henry Smith, of Beckley. Burial under the direction of the Calfee undertakers will be made in the family cemetery at Jumping Branch. on April 21, 1935.7

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Harold Lewis; two sons, Hayward W. Bowling and Billy Pat Lewis; two grandsons, Richard D. Smith and Clark James Cole; one sister and 11 brothers. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Cole and her husband, Leal, of Glen Morgan and Gloria Jean Smith and her husband, Bobby, of Big Creek; a son, David Lewis and his wife, Ingrid, of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be ll a.m. Friday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Edward Garten officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery. on November 27, 1996.4
