She had ten grandchildren: Kelsey Whitaker; Ty Whitaker, Derek Vail; Rylie; Emma Whitaker; and Corey Ramsey. There are three great-grandchildren; Delaney Lantz; Jadyn Henry; and Jackson Whitaker. She has three sisters: Sandra (Bob) Campbell of Augusta; Terri (Pat)Sullivan of Colchester; and Ginger (John) Rexroat of Colchester. One brother, Ronnie (Marilyn) Vest of Bowen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ann and Lloyd had recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She retired from Methode Electronics Inc. in Carthage, after 25 years. Most recently she was a store auditor at Shopco in Quincy. She attended Bowen High School, and was a member of the Denver Christian Church. She enjoyed being in the pontoon boat, fishing, and gardening. Her most precious treasures in life were her husband and family. Caring for her family was her lifelong calling. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 15, 2005, in the Bowen United Methodist Church with Rev. Sandra Bunnell officiating. Burial followed in the Bowen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Chili Park District. on June 15, 2005.²

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw. Lena enjoyed embroidery work, listening to music and watching baseball and basketball on television. He is survived by many friends and family; including his three daughters, Lynn, Kathryn, and Julie; two granddaughters, Megan and Elizabeth; great-granddaughter, Brooke; sister, Joyce Moore; brother-in-law, Jim Yates; and their families; and nieces and nephews, Artie, Steve, Teri, Joe, Lisa, and Heather. Roy was born in Floyd County, Virginia in 1934, and lived in Roanoke until he attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Roy served in the Army at Fort Sill, OK. He was an architectural engineer and worked in construction for over 50 years as a professional engineer, with projects that garnered many awards throughout the south. Roy was well-respected professionally and loved for his gentleness, patience, and intelligence. We will miss him dearly. on November 30, 2016.⁴
